They may have their reasons mixed up, but I don't blame US voters for wanting to see him locked up: he's a crook, he tried to overturn the election through nefarious means, but then he instigated an attempted coup that could easily have seen the Vice President and the Speaker of the House executed on the grounds of The Capitol Building. He, Stone, Bannon, and the rest of this organised crime syndicate belong behind bars. Paying off seedy film stars in comparison is just the sordid corruption we've seen from presidents like Kennedy, Nixon, Clinton, and others further back. He doesn't belong in jail for that - it just needs to be exposed, regardless of the fact that it won't mean diddly to his hardcore zealots, and nothing either in legal terms regarding running for the presidency.
Yup, I'm actually 8/67ths Japanese, on my father's side, and have always had a hankering to visit one of my true homelands. Sitting under a multitude of cherry blossom trees with a couple of tinnies of Carlsberg Special Brew trying to forget WWII and it's inherent lifetime lasting traumas.
No way on God's green earth would a senile, soulless, career politician like Biden had ever gotten 84m, the highest popular vote ever in US electoral history, had he been up again somebody like Nikki Hayley, Ted Cruz or even Mike Pence. Yes, Trump comes guaranteed with 25% of the popular base with his evangelical support, but he also comes with at least 15-20% of an anti-vote from independents and voters who wouldn't otherwise be arsed. He has absolutely no chance of winning the popular vote, and he only got in in 2016 because though he lost the popular vote, enough lazy and floating voters didn't turn up, or they gave him a chance. 2020 was a huge anti-Trump vote, not pro-Biden: but all polls are indicating that voters will do it again to keep Trump out rather than for any enthusiasm regarding Biden. Hence why Bannon and others have spent the last four years desperately trying to stop potential Democrat voters from getting to the polls - a tactic coming here in 2025, you can be sure.
My brother visited for a few weeks when he was working in China. Said it's the weirdest place he's ever been. The same man has lived in Shanghai, Dubai, Bangkok and Belfast among other ****holes so take from that what you will.
And will always remain neutral. It's in the constitution so like abortion and queer marriage to change the constitution you must put it to a referendum. I can't see any population voting to effectively send their young men to wars all over the world so the few get richer. In fact there isn't a politicial party in Ireland who would even consider putting it to tthe people as they would never get elected again. War eh, what's it good for?
