Why would you not have butter on a bacon butty? I don't get it. Crispy bacon on buttered white bread, that is how you make a bacon butty. Bacon on dry bread, not so much.
I fcking love butter tbh. A couple of yrs ago I saw a headline saying butter is better for you than margarine. Didn't bother reading the rest, that was good enough for me. Bought a year's supply of Anchor.
No **** butters burger or hot dog rolls at football matches, anywhere. It's abysmal. Forget sauce, that goes on anyway, you just have to have that moist lubricant of butter on there. And **** margarine as an idea too.
Lots of vegan alternatives now. I've tried oatly milk it's ok, but not enough to convince me to a permanent change but I think that's just a case of old habits diehard. Maybe I need to watch a few more PETA videos about the treatment of cattle. Vegan spread, perfect for me, but probably not to people who love butter.
I can't do the oaty milk. It's bearable for tea/coffee but you need it for all sorts and it doesn't work in cereals etc. I think milk is one of those things you should just continue having even if you're vegan. What does the cow need it for anyway.
Yeh not being serious earlier. Also know the things they do with hormones and getting cows pregnant to make the milk. Not sure if that applies everywhere or even in organic milk. Haven't looked into it. I can't give it up though, along with eggs... and meat
I couldn't go vegan tbph, I just look at where I can cut back when it leads into a low cholestrol diet, plus my dislike of some dairy products is a bonus.
I don't look at individual things except sugar. Got that right down and it's made a massive difference. The only thing I've cut down on completely is junk / processed food but when cooking otherwise I'll use most things.
