I completely agree and think you've hit the nail on the head. It was done purely to put the printing costs on the customers even though they're tiny. There used to be loads of problems with the print-at-home tickets though as the scanners didn't like the thin paper pretty much everyone uses and if you fold it on the barcode they don't scan. With the mobile tickets and I'm sure there's a workaround but if I buy 3 tickets, surely they're all on one phone so it requires you to pass the phone to the person behind you after it's scanned in.
I've done this and generally I just forward each individual their ticket, but alternatively you can just have the person with the tickets on their phone scan everyone else in before going in themselves on the last ticket.
Don't know why all the fuss is about, I have no trouble whatsoever getting in the stadium. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Can see it being mad because people dont allow long enough to get in , although as East South and north are usually pretty full the increase may not make it so bad - can’t wait to stand behind people not using all the turn stiles , dithering , holding whatever they are using the wrong way round or up , and the stewards watching them It’ll all go without a hitch
Sorry to be pernickety....but the financial situation is actually WAY better than it may first seem as you need to take season tickets (memberships...) out of the equation as a fixed income and really just look at the variable....if we had around 8k passholders when we were getting 12k gates - that's only 4k on the day sales at 28, whereas now, i'm assuming we've got something like 12k memberships?? meaning over 10k at say 15, so in the region of an extra 40k on the day take in ticket prices alone before all the added extras.
Went in with you and Urika recently and he scanned in, how very conformist. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
When everyone started leaving early at the Huddersfield match my grandson decided he wanted to be the last to leave..!
It really is a bit of common sense, turn up early and I never had a problem getting in, rock up late which many seem to do and you get to wait.
They are just printing off free tickets and handing them to KCOM. My business partner has just taken 100 of them for his junior football club, but the guy at KCOM said he can get 300/400 if he wanted, so that attendance figure could be a bit higher than what actually turns up
