I understand that this is a forum and this subject is open to debate, but I think it's a little unfair. Fergy has shown glimpses of brilliance and should get more game time, but at the same time, I don't think sacrificing Sammy's game time is the right choice.

Mid way through his SJP debut on Saturday I said to my mate I thought he looked a little out of his depth, but almost immediately after this he seemed to settle and got down the channels really well winning a few corners and throw ins in the process.

Looking forward to seeing how he gets on (if he gets on) for the U21s!

But Fergy has mysteriously lost his first team game time to Ameobi.

I don't understand why he was thrusted in front of Vuckic, he's a better player imo.

Fergie must not be showing it in training. Pardew can only pick who is looking good behind the scenes.

Hasn't Fergie just come back from a long term injury?

Yeah true, I'm a bit anxious for more is all. He was one of the most exciting things about last season I thought, showed we have real quality brewing in the youth teams and I can't wait to see more of him.

All I'll say is that Sammy has looked more threatening than HBA in his appearances this season. I can't compare him to Vukic or Fergie at the moment because I don't get to see them in training.
