These people will shamelessly manipulate whatever tragedy to suit their agenda and do so at high volume. It doesn't take much to repudiate or debunk their posts or media articles.
The key point there is mental health crisis. These woke people are true narcissists who have victim mentality complex. Pronouns, gender dysphoria, all of it eventually leads to one outcome: feeling completely disillusioned with society. These people are being told that the police and government hate them and want to exterminate them etc. If this was an ultra right wing mass shooter, it would be rightly mentioned. So it’s definitely fair game to mention this. Ultimately it’s impossible to understand the motives of someone so evil; but not caring correctly for mentally ill people, regardless of their political beliefs is the problem. Whether they’re left or right you have to assume they hate society as a whole to do something so barbaric.
The tweet you mentioned basically perfectly encapsulates why the “progressive” woke left are just as bad as Tucker Carlson etc. They think they are the height of virtue and that they care more about others than everyone else. Therefore in their minds this justifies whatever they say. They have so much hate for those on the right that they become more evil than the right. Nothing liberal or progressive about them.

The difference is that states are literally passing legislation targeting trans and queer people, whereas absolutely no one is coming for you.

The Nashville shooter was under doctor's care for emotional problems, and their family did not believe they should possess guns given that, but in most US states, there is no legal process for guns to be confiscated (even temporarily) unless a person has already committed a felony, so the police had to simply wait until they killed people. This exact same situation has played out in several other massacres. It was known that they had guns. It was known that they were increasingly erratic and potentially very dangerous. But in America, guns >>> everything else, so what can you do.

Not to mention 2 rather obvious statistics: The vast majority of historic mass shootings were not carried out by people with gender dysphoria. The vast majority of people with gender dysphoria have never carried out a mass shooting, or committed any other violent crime.
