Let's hope so, as the next team will take us lightly and so on. I'd quite happily win 5 games when the other team was at 'fault' than lose them when we were the team on top
At the moment, given the choice between Lyanco and DCC, I'm not sure if I wouldn't go for Lyanco. At least is heart is in the right place.
Hopefully Salisu is fit so neither will play! Bednarek has regained a lot of respect from me for trying to play on with a broken rib. Can't fault his commitment to Saints anymore.
He has pulled out of the Ghana squad, but that could be so he's fit for West Ham. But it's Ramadan right now so Sally will be fasting. He was crap last season during this time iirc.
I have no problem with Bednarek or Salisu playing. But I've yet to see them perform as a partnership, and we've seen it attempted many times. They just don't work together. Unfortunately ABK is the one we need as he has pace and can play with any of them (though not in a back 3). I'd be tempted to try Bednarek and Lyanco assuming DCC is done here. It might not work in the same way Salisu and Bednarek doesn't work, but that remains to be seen. Salisu is too rash for me unless he is playing alongside someone pacey like ABK who can cover for him. And a Salisu and Lyanco partnership would be too chaotic imo.
I hate to sat its a must win game but yeah, it's a must win game. Time is running out lads, need a win here. I don't give a **** about the performance its all about the points COYR
It is a must win game I agree. However, if we lose we are not relegated. Probably, but not. All it means is that we will have to win one of the more unlikely games.
I agree, although I have said that about lots of our recent games. This one though just seems different, and genuinely like a must win, probably because we have a tough run in. 10 games to go, and six of those are against sides pushing for the title or Europe: City, Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool, Brighton & Fulham. I think we need five wins, or four and a couple of draws, which is why our other games against West Ham, Palace, Bournemouth & Forest are so vital. I can definitely see Fulham going on a bad run now. The annoying thing with Willian and Mitrovic banned for three games (Mitro probably more) is their next four are against other sides down there with us and I think they'll lose a few of those. I feel like three points here really gets everyone believing and confident. A draw would keep us in it but increases the pressure of getting something against the bigger clubs. A loss would be massively demoralising, maybe even the first nail in the coffin?
Didn't realise Willian's was only a one match ban, but it's the Mitrovic one I was more focusing on. Really hoping it doesn't effect Fulham's form in the next couple of weeks.
Another thing about Fulham is that Silva is almost certainly getting a multi-game touchline ban, possibly a stadium ban. That will affect them, particularly if it's a stadium ban.
