A distance (running, cycling) race is effectively "steady state" , while a football game is "burst" driven. Therefore I would not expect the "warm-up" regimes to be the same
Interesting summary of who is available https://www.eurosport.com/football/...lsmann-or-luis-enrique_sto9524955/story.shtml
You’d imagine shorter more intensive. I suspect between the shuttle runs etc they may well run over 1k, maybe up to 2. But they wouldn’t jog then do some race pace stints like you would for a 5/10k race. Different style.
Sky Germany are suggesting that Nagelsmann is taking a break after his Bayern sacking (sacking where we'd owe Bayern compensation if we hired him tomorrow...) Not the best news to hear, what with Los Ladrones and PSG both likely to be in the market for a new manager this summer
De Telegraaf are claiming that Arne Slot is on the list of candidates, although he won't be joining until the end of the season with Feyenoord zeroing in on the title
He was willing to leave them last month to join Leeds so if Spurs wanted him then can’t see any reason why he couldn’t come in asap
He appears to have turned them down: https://www.skysports.com/football/...approach-from-premier-league-was-a-compliment 6 points ahead of Ajax with 8 games to go. Beat them 3-2 in Amsterdam in their last game. Is that a sign? Highest place team they've still got to play is 6th place Sparta, their local rivals. Semi-final of their domestic cup against Ajax. Quarter-final of the Europa against Roma. You can see why he'd want to see out the season, at least.
Fwiw I don’t think the club will appoint anyone until the summer (and then probably appoint someone who was out of work anyway)
Should offer Nagelsmann what he wants and tell him to come when he’s ready We are not getting him in the summer
I’m not interested in any manager that will only join spurs on the proviso they qualify for the CL or if they are waiting for a better offer.
My concern about Nagelsmann is the current domestic 'baggage' that he is carrying and the fact that BM wanted rid so quickly. The last thing we need is a coach who is either going to be distracted, or be a distraction. Please tell me my fears are unfounded.....
