We're down to more or less a game a week now. Gives Porro a solid run in the team and he *should* be ok until the end of the season. Now that Conte's gone and we're allowed to use alternative formations, we could if necessary play 4 at the back with Tanganga or even Romero at RB.
No problem with Porro as #1 in the first instance, but the more I see of Spence the more I think he will be a real star and I'd like to see him establish himself at Spurs.
I think him and Porro down that flank is excellent strength in depth the likes of which we haven't had since we briefly had Walker and Trippier together. However, if the next manager prefers a flat back 4 we no longer play to their strengths. My worry is the other flank, Sess is useless, Perisic is finished and Udogie is unproven. We need to invest heavily on that side in the summer, unless the new manager admires Reguilon.
Untested in PL maybe but again looks to be the real deal. Reggie may feature, you never know. Certainly will if DH has any influence!
There were rumours he’d be out until November, but Bentancur was doing keep-up on his instagram today. If we have him back for the start of next season then that’s a massive bonus.
Korea Herald have reported that Sonny had surgery for a sports hernia two weeks ago, effectively walking off the pitch at Elland Road and into the operating theatre (but not literally)
He's gone on to claim that he was carrying that injury for 8 or 9 months. Absolutely ludicrous, both from the club and the player. We had a ton of cover for his position and he played **** in lots of matches. Everyone would've been far better off if he'd have had the surgery early and taken time off.
Perhaps it’s notable that both Sonny, apparently carrying an injury for the best part of the entire season, and Dier, carrying one after the WC, notably dropped their performance levels during these times. Compared to the Conte performances the season before. Madness from the club.
That doesn't make sense to me...that means he could have had the surgery just before the world cup when he was out with the head injury.
That does beg the question if the KFA shoulder some of the blame Doesn't excuse Lloris, Dier and Romero playing while carrying injuries, though
Promising. There were videos of him jogging on grass before the season even ended so if he’s able to play by late September that helps a lot. Obviously not one to rush due to the nature of the injury, but looks like we might get him back a bit earlier than expected.
Bryan Gil is undergoing surgery tomorrow and is expected to miss a couple of months, according to Marca
It’s odd because yesterday or the day before there was a video of him walking into the training ground saying he felt much better, or words to that effect.
