Nick Barmby installed as caretaker manager without too much disruption to the team and an opportunity to prove himself for position. Leicester go on with no management in place whilst the two clubs 'negotiate' with City arguably holding the cards. Nigel Pearson, et.al. get a long holiday whilst clubs settle. Not sure if City can legally suspend without pay! The scenario buys Hull City time to choose a permanent successor if required whilst Leicester carry on in a rudderless Svenless fashion. Job's a good un!
We saw the value in Brown of letting a caretaker have a run at managing the club. Leicester are the club that're desperate to get things moving. So why should we rush? They've been farting higher than their arse for months since they got the money in... Well fair enough, if they're going to buy the league, let them buy their manager. He's left us stable enough for us to be able to take our time to get the right choice. And as for Leicester, let's face it... Old man Allam did not make the rich list by being shy in negotiations. He won't blink until he's got the best deal possible. We're in no rush.
I'd like to get it all over and done with as soon as possible. That's for NP to go and us to get a new manager appointed. I dunno whether a new manager will suddenly spark us back into form (i mean results wise as we were playing pretty well anyway)but for him, his staff and the team to bond and that takes time. Also, having seen how poor Leicester have been since getting rid of Sven, i dunno if having a caretaker for a substantial period of time, when we have the Derby, Burnley, Leicester & Brum fixtures coming up, is a good idea.
How do we ensure that Pearson is not doing ANY work at Leicester whilst under contract to us? Leicester want him, he's currently ours. They can pay us what WE want. **** em dour manager for a dour club. Can have someone with a hint of charisma this time?
Maybe we should put P£arson on "gardening leave" whilst we sort this one out therefore preventing him from working at L£ic£st£r. We are in no rush to sort it out. Warren JOYCE Hull Citys "Director of Football Operations" (or whatever title Dowie had ).
Just wonder if Lesta hadn't realised what a tough nut in Papa Allam they are trying to crack. Egyptian secret police torturers couldn't do it and a couple of Patpong boys may not be able to either. Would not put it past him to leave NP on gardening and grass cutting until the end of his contract, they have the money to do it! Contracts should work both ways, managers should not sign long-term ones if they are going to chuck them in the bin when cash is waved at them. Pay up Lesta or shut up.
LOL I love that, and will steal it and use it as my own! Agree with the sentiment of the rest of the post too, we're in a MUCH better position than Leicester and Mr Allam can teach the Thai's a thing or 2 about business while he's at it.
NP can't work for Leicester, he's still legally employed by Hull City. Doing anything for them would constitute gross misconduct and would land both him and LCFC in massive trouble.
Would expect it to be all wrapped up by tomorrow, at the end of the day we are going to need a new manager so whilst NP is here it is delaying us
Expect it will be announced tomorrow myself, with us recieving the full amount we demand for him and his team. I expect AP will have already put the feelers out possible replacements too, would not be suprised to see NP announced on Friday, and us to have a new set up by Wednesday.
I know it's illegal, but I bet he's doing some stuff. How the **** would we know? That's the point I was making!
Looks like Mr Allam is taking his time and increasing the pressure on Leicester / NP. http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/story-13809293-detail/story.html I hope he makes the whole experience as excrutiating as possible for Pearson and if he resigns we sue his ass off.
Because if he was I suspect that City could seek an injunction against NP and Leicester. Neither of them are that stupid. You can't sue someone for resigning from their job unless there is no notice clause in his contract, which is highly unlikely
If I read into this matter correctly, there is a clause in NP contact apparently that £650/700K would need to be paid by any club as compensation, should NP decide to leave before the end of his contact. However as NP wants to take his 2 assistants as well, I believe the Allams want a further amount on top of the NP figure. I maybe wrong but that is want I read into this the situation.
Good, **** Leicester. They pay what we want or we send him out to make gardens look pretty. What a ****ing farce, beginning to get ****ed off by the whole situation. He is under contract to us, so until they compensate us adequately they can go and **** off.
