Hello, Gumbo. How are you doing? Trev, I don't get it. What's going on? I'm a policeman, Gumbo. No, you ****ing hate Old Bill. Gumbo, I am Old Bill. **** me, no! Quality film
When they started to fly around on dragons was when it started to get a bit silly for me. But it was still generally excellent at that point I think. The political intrigue was its strength. You werent sure who to shout for, so many grey areas, people who you thought you were going to despise showed redeeming qualities, then did something which made you despise them again. Then the last 2 series turned into goodies v baddies. If Game of Thrones had started like it finished I would have given up half way through the first series.
Top three for me has to be, Auf Wiedersen Pet, Mr Inbetween, Game of Thrones. Worst, the recent Resident Evil series.
Aye incredible show. One of the best I've seen I love it. I'm not sure there will be a series 4 though despite what that site says, I think it's done and dusted and Scott Ryan is busy writing something else.
Tried it the past few nights and already watched about 8 episodes. Very good. I'd seen a clip of it years ago but back then it wasn't easily available but it's in Disney+ now so getting through it quickly.
One of those shows that gets little attention but is as good as anything out there. Should be up there with Breaking Bad etc but it doesn't get the publicity.
All that are old enough probably watched every episode of this (her) The Champions - Alexandra Bastedo
Yellowstone DONE (more series to come I understand) Starting 1883 now. Enjoyed first couple of episodes
Brilliant isn't it. I know what you mean but I think it's because Scott Ryan has been living with Ray and trying to get the show on tv and make a success of it for so long now that he's sick of the character. At least it ended on its own terms. He seems confident about the new stuff he's got lined up so hopefully another gem or two on the way.
I didn't even know he was the writer until I looked to see who "Kane Mason" was when there was a in memory of at the end of a episode. Then I read about The Magician and all of that about how long he has been trying to get something going with the character. He said in interviews he was glad to see the back of him. Like you say shows get cancelled now as they are only just starting so at least he saw it out and left it on a high and when he wanted it to be over. Not a ****e character in it imo, one thing that I liked aswell was it would happily introduce a character make ya think there was going to be a few stories with them and then **** them off completely as Ray moved on to the next thing. A couple of times o felt someone was going to be in his story arc and they were gone after that episode.
Yeah Ryan's the man behind it all, although the director Nash Edgerton (brother of the actor Joel) has done a lot of graft over the years along with Ryan to get the show made. Well worth the effort and they deserve the success. Fun fact Ray's daughter in the show is the director's stepdaughter.
