The BBC are scrapping the BBC singers.
24 people in the choir plus another 10 or so connected employees.

So over 30 people will lose their jobs.

The BBC justification: "Necessity to save costs"

The total costs saved are estimated at £1.2 million p.a

That's less than Gary Linekar's salary of £1.3m.

So 30 people are made unemployed in order to be able to pay Quentin Crisp his obscene salary on top of the dosh he gets from sponsorships, advertising, turning up at events and other sidelines etc.

And he refers to himself as "caring about the vulnerable"

The greedy, conceited bastard.

Makes me sick to think that thousands of brave young men died defending freedom only for it to be handed to foreigner's .Remember at Christmas when sadiq kahnt and other local councils moaned about the carbon footprint of Christmas lights and how we shouldn't even have them at home? I remember! If it isn't ok to wish Happy Christmas and it has to be replaced with Happy Holidays ... Shouldn't the same apply in this case so that words specific to one religion don't make people of other religions feel excluded
I hope those signs pointing to Mecca get removed. There is no reason for them to be there.

New BBC ‘adaptation’ of Great Expectations starting on Sunday is woke gone mad. A new low even for them. One clip from the trailer shows Victorian London in 1861 with at least 50% blacks <doh> who knew? I did this book at school and the blonde girl Estella is now played by a black actress ffs.

Apparently there are references to how ‘evil’ the British Empire was, how white people committed atrocities in poor innocent colonies. I don’t think Dickens wrote that <whistle>

Sick of this woke ****. They hate Britain and its history. They never have anything good to say about the Empire. When in reality, if it wasn’t for Britain, most of its former colonies would still be living in mud huts.

Defund the pathetically woke BBC.

If there's one good thing about this thread, it's that at times it encourages me to find out a bit more about certain things you rant about. For example, it seems that there were a lot more black people in Victorian Britain than we might think ;
