A Danish far-right politician has been barred from the UK after threatening to burn a copy of the Quran in Wakefield. Security minister Tom Tugendhat said Rasmus Paludan, founder of the anti-Islam party Stram Kurs, had been added to the UK's immigration watchlist. Mr Paludan had said he planned to burn the religious text in a public square in the West Yorkshire city this week. It comes after four pupils at a Wakefield school were suspended over damage to a copy of the Quran. In a video posted to Twitter on Sunday, Mr Paludan said he would travel to the city to "fight back" against "undemocratic forces". He claimed he intended to burn the Quran on Wednesday to coincide with the start of Ramadan. Mr Paludan has held several previous protests in which the Islamic text was burned, with some leading to violent counter-demonstrations. In January he burned a copy of the Quran outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm. That protest became part of a diplomatic row between Turkey and Sweden - with Turkey now holding up Sweden's application to join Nato. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-65020528 Should let him in on the understanding he's offered no security. See how that works out for him
Why can't people stop trying to offend other people on purpose. I wouldn't be happy with someone burning a bible let alone a copy of Quran. Too right we shouldn't be letting these idiots in the country, trying to sow division.
Gonna just update the date in title this year I think thanks for pulling the thread out Saff Wednesday is the first one
Up and running here in Indonesia. Steak, chips and broccoli, plus a plate of fruit was a shock to the system at 3.30am but slowly digesting it like a large snake now so should be no problem lasting until 6pm. Going d'arn Mosque for Tarawih afterwards. Hopefully nobody sets me alight on the way home.
Never been a religious guy but over the last 5 years I got into studying religion a lot. Always had a lot of Muslim friends as about a third of my school year were second generation Bangladeshi. On the face of it, Islam is the religion I would probably pick if I was to go down that route, if it wasnt for the fact you cannot eat pork! Judaism looks interesting too, but again, no pork. The prospect of no more bacon or pork chops? please log in to view this image
Early days..doddle so far…just missing the habitual stuff…morning coffee n spliff etc didn’t eat in morning…glass of water only
Coffee is the one for me. The one month break each year is probably what keeps my coffee machine performing year after year though.
You cant smoke during ramadan? Or is it just that you dont because you know you wont be able to eat if you get the munchies? I guess I know where you stand on the old imbibing of mary jane as being Haram, and I am sure you know the quran technically prohibits any imbibing of any intoxicating drug. Most of my Muslim friends smoke weed. so not judging or being a dick about it, just genuinely curious as to your reasoning and whether its accepted in your jamaat
no bro…can’t smoke during fasting and I don’t for that reason alone. Weed/cigarettes are prohibited as its an intoxicant as you have stated. However that doesn’t put it on a par with Alcohol due to the resulting external affects.
yeh it’s not easy I know of man who have sly ones here n there I don’t judge it’s their journey they will get there
