Our full back positions are both a weakness. Problem is that most wide players are quick and skillful, to be able counteract that you have to be some player as well as having the ability to get forward and create. Guess that's why players like Cucurella and Chilwell go for £50M+ and the full back role is now considered one of the most important posiitons in world football.
In 96 Premier League appearances, he has scored 19 goals. 10 with his left leg, and 9 with his right.
The number of goals Harrison has scored circa 9 goals per season plus assists, except for this season where he’s been pants in front of goal. He owes us goals in reality, but lets also remember he isn’t a striker and he has played a dozen games less than Tyler Roberts who only scored 9 goals in total and only 1 of them was in the Premier League. In those terms Harrison has been a success and I reckon the club trying to sell him has effected his form even if it’s because he wanted a pay rise and the club knocked him back, this has been going on since last summer
Well that will silence the wolves fans who are in unison that the referees, the f.a. and all and sundry are out to get them back into the championship....nunes had to be restrained by Costa in the melee so where is the 'control your players ' charge, of course if it had been a Leeds player!!.....and looks like mitroprick has been let off leniently as well... the f.a. are abysmal
We stayed up by the skin of our teeth last season and are still struggling this one. I’d say there’s need for major surgery next year.
Spot on. Unless you’re one of the new style Leeds fan, the one that’s more than happy to fight a relegation battle every season
Sorry guys I thought it was clear to everyone that we have an upper midtable squad that was only hindered by a terrible manager. Surely now he’s gone, a couple of minor tweaks in the summer and we’ll be battling for Europe.
We’ll see with Javi whether that’s true or not but the better the players the easier the job for the manager.
i was in character when i wrote the post, obviously, but a year ago it was an ageing and struggling small squad with injuries, the squad has improved in my view, even if we lost our two best players of past seasons. There's no position where quality couldn't be improved, which is true of all teams, but there are fewer glaring weaknesses. My personal view is our defence wasn't and still isn't quite PL quality... and that we had a mix of out of form forwards, mainly Paddy and Jack, and pure bad luck. If our defence/keeper had been average at stopping shots and our forwards had been average at scoring them. Just average would do, we'd be comfortably midtable. That's what your favourite, meaningless stat tells us
