I just finished watching A Spy among Friends on ITV, a true story based on the Kim Philby defection. Wonderfully acted by Damien Lewis, Guy Pearce, Ade Edmondson and Anna Maxwell Martin who was born in Beverley. Well worth a watch.
Spell checks are a bind sometimes, I typed bornin Beverly, mistyping not leaving a gap between n & i so it corrects it to Borning.
A brilliant finale for me. No spoilers, but the split between Thursday and Morse was dealt with perfectly. Carry on, shall we say 2pm, mind how you go.
It was a very clever ending, I'm not a massive Endeavour fan, but the last episode is definitely worth a watch (though it's probably more enjoyable if you have seen the earlier episodes and understand the bits about Thursday's brother and daughter).
Follow this thread?? Shows recommended that I would have maybe swerved but for the comments here. I think that is it for Morse, both prequels and sequels.
I watched Operation Finale on Netflix last night, the true story of how Israeli agents track down Adolf Eichmann (the Nazi who masterminded the transportation logistics for the holocaust) and extract him from Argentina to stand trial in Israel. Adolf Eichmann is played by Ben Kingsley, who’s good in everything, including this.
Caught up with the The Detectorists on IPlayer. Absolutely brilliant dry and slapstick comedy. Loved it.
