Might do a coinciding white man bedlamadam in solidarity and unity. @Spurlock i need he main requirements and necessary times and duration and stuff to work off pls.
I'm doing next Monday to Friday in solidarity with my pal, see if it teaches me anything. I've told him I'm allowed to opt out tho if I get too starving
@Spurlock I've just thought of summit... Am I allowed to touch food to prepare a meal during the day as long as I dont eat anything?
All nutrients must be taken through a straw and contain blended sardines and chocolate sauce and you need to self flagellate with wet stinging nettles on the hour, every hour ... apart from that, it's a piece of piss mate ... we're all with you in spirit ... don't forget to post progress pics
I'll just confirm I will not be particpating in going hungry, because otherwise by the end of the day i'd have banned everyone.
Many muslims working in bakeries, restaurants, coffee shops, Subways n that during the day so handling food all the time.
I was talking to someone in Qatar and they were saying basically ppl working out there who are not muslims end up following the timelines of those fasting bcos they can't eat during the day lol.
I worked with a guy one time (many years ago) who was fasting, so I did the same for the day. It just didn't seem right, shoving food down my neck while he was going hungry.
Was that bcos there was one person fasting in your work at the time? I only ask bcos I think it's changed a bit now. In workplaces you'll have a few muslims fasting and non-muslims not fasting and there's a bit more of a community to it. That's the school environment, I don't know what it's like elsewhere.
I don't think all the muslims use to fast, my lads best mate was a muslim, his dad ran the local mosque but he use to drink alcohol and everything without his old man knowing lol. Maybe if there is more of a community to it, you get peer pressure of sorts.
This is spot on. Ironically we're talking on the War thread, but fasting (and general move towards religion by young muslims who were into all sorts) pre 9/11 and post 9/11 changed a lot in this country.
