After the years we'd suffered, before they arrived, there was little other option and it's what supporters have to do.

Look how the Wigan fans welcomed their new owners ...

... now they can't even pay the wages.

They were given the benefit of the doubt by almost everyone. Not sure any of us knew they were potless and clueless.

I think vast majority did. Like Smug says fans have no choice about the owner, so we all want to believe what they saying is true and they are going to be different.

In hindsight alarm bells should have been rining with how much they were meeting with fanzines, podcasts etc... they wanted to talk and talk and talk to tell us all how great they were.

In contrast KLD hasn't been heard from anywhere near as much but we can see the results of what he is doing, even with the mistakes/faults like lack of striker we can see why and what has happened.

According to some of the forum lunatics that shows he's running a shady clandestine operation and desperately trying to avoid promotion at all costs.
The fact it doesn't 'sit easy' with people is enough to contradict the obvious beneficial changes we've seen at the club ...

... just like Inspector Morse a gut feeling is evidence enough for them to convict KLD and his cohorts <laugh>

Yeah that’s true sheer blind faith from me, took until the Maja debacle for alarm bells to start ringing for me

Like what he said about talking to KLD about the club - in other words KLD tells SD to get his hand in his pocket or do one.

And now he reckons that he's gonna be Eastleigh's saviour. This guy's ego knows no limits!

And there's the same shyte being peddled out - "if the fans want me back, we'll look into it". Same as if the fans want me out at Sunderland.......

It baffles me when people make out like there has been no change at the club. Its the should be spending x million on championship level journeymen. This approach is so much more exciting and is great to see!

Equally baffling that the club is trying to defraud supporters, avoid promotion and sell off our best players.

I would agree...My brother knows Bob from way back...Over the road he was an embarrassment at times pushing an agenda that rarely was accurate, lots of innuendos, maybes etc but nothing cast iron, then he turned up here! For one who wants the Donald out completely some digging around I done last season, and I believe GoM also done, showed that in his business interests, freely available at Companies House, he had a lot of borrowings from various institutions that will at some stage have to be crystalised to be repaid. Now call me an old fart but this here interest rate increase and changes we have all had to endure since January 2022 would, to me at least point to a source of readily available funds. might be wrong but....

You werent the only one mate. I would say most of us did. We were pretty low when he came in and we needed someone to talk a good game. I remember thinking this fella is alright. I liked the Jack Ross appointment, the new players coming in seemed, in the face of it, a good group to get out of league one. I remember saying to my brother after one podcast he did, must have been around half way through season, this fella talks too much to take seriously. That was when I started to have doubts, he would ramble about financial stuff and I never really felt he was confident in what he was saying. He just seemed miles out of his depth to me and he appointed really inexperienced people to help him.

    Good points mate.

I'd like to like Bob as I try to with all Sunderland supporters.

The problem is that, for someone who's so wrong so often, he's very quick to ridicule the opinions of others.

This time he's really painted himself into a corner and there's no way out.

As Snaggey said it's a huge irony that, after all the posters who've disputed what Bob has claimed ...

... it should be Donald who finally applied the coup de grâce.

I do think he had the right intentions as much as I don’t like the bloke just as you say out of his depth, Eastleigh to Sunderland isn’t even comparable

His intentions were to get Sunderland up and make money from it ...

... a win win, of sorts, although there's no denying he may have left the club in debt as he carried his cash away.

Looking back at the squad we'd have hit the Championship with, it would be a pale shadow of the one we have now.

Aye in hindsight going into the championship with Flanagan and Ozturk at the back would have been the stuff of nightmares :emoticon-0102-bigsm

My dad knows a few people he meets when walking his dog and he has been talking to an ex local journalist and he has said at the start of March is the time the directors put there share of the money into the club. When this month came around satori and KLD met they obligation but Donald could not meet his obligations and this was when Satori and KLD decided/told Donald to sell his shares.

Donald still hanging onto what he can of his shares can only be in anticipation of reaching the Premier League. His 9% share still gives him a great pay day once tv money and parachute payments reflect in the clubs value.

Wonderful, one of the best things I've ever seen from a Sunderland owner ...

... if fact I can't think of anything better tbh.
