When he's at his best (which is very good) I can cope with his half-assed tracking back and nonexistent tackling or heading. When he's like he has been all season, underpar, mis-firing and miserable, he's a liability. He's been fantastic for us and was unbelievably good last season. This season has been a struggle start to finish. Is that down to him or an indication of how things have gone wrong off the pitch?
Had we held on to a win yesterday, it'd look a lot better...but added to the sniping about the club, players and the fans, the poor football and mediocre results, it now looks like he's a coach who needs showing the door. It isn't working and isn't going to. I wanted to give him to the end of the season, in a hope that he could do some good for us. That hope is over... ...next chump please...
Football BSider claim the board are meeting today to decide if Conte should be sacked Ryan Mason, however, might have his eyes on another job... please log in to view this image
He has given the players off until Tuesday pm. Some of them will have jetted off somewhere, same as him.
It does say a lot where there's a section of the fanbase who hope we don't sack Conte because they want to keep his support staff at the club Didn't get that with the ubermensch, that's for sure...
O Jogo are suggesting that we're taking a good look at Sporting Lisbon coach (and bloke who looks uncannily like Ryan Mason with a beard) Ruben Amorim As I've said whenever he's linked with us, just look at the Primeira Liga table right now. Sporting are fourth in a three-horse race, and that's before touching on our track record with Portugeezers in the dugout
Conte was probably made all kinds of promises and assurances to get him to come in the first place, promises that Levy would never have had any intention of keeping. His rant was just the frustration of everything boiling over, he is not used to working with such a bunch of losers.
There's plenty ex Spurs managers on record talking about Levy going back on his word or basically not doing his job properly for the benefit of the football team
Does that mean Stellini and Mason are taking training for the players not on international duty? Because if so...
Which we would have known before appointing him... As Obi Wan Kenobi once said: "Who is more foolish; the fool or the fool who follows him?"
