I saw one theory one time, where it said the universe could fold back in on itself, then start all over again, even over millions, let alone trillions of years, how would we (humans) know. I do believe life is destructive, very destructive and everything within life is destroyed at some point, but then it evolves again, so I ask why would the universe be any different. But as a human I can only understand the cycle of life on Earth, because that's all I know, so expressing the same theory for the entire universe could be seen as foolish, but I've not seen anything yet, to suggest otherwise and change my theory of the 'cycle' of life but then where does the energy come from (insert god).
Very much this. And on your point about God (but I'll say religion) - a number of faiths believe that the universe is the nth carnation of previous ones... even the monotheistic ones.
I heard black holes just grow as they move and consume everything including smaller black holes. But i may have heard wrong
I don't know enough about them. One thing one of the astrophysicist was quick to stress is this misconception that things get sucked in. I can't remember how he explained it now. You're right though, they do grow. One of the other widely held theories Cox mentioned is the possibility (with there being so many black holes everywhere) that eventually they would all grow and connect and the whole universe would become one giant black hole. Fck knows how that would work though
This bit is what they were talking about with recovering information... Now, new research motivated by string theory suggests possible, and equally strange, fates for evaporating black holes: a remnant nugget that we could, in principle, access,
The AARO need funding, so they will probably declare little green men on the moon next... https://www.militarytimes.com/off-d...lien-mothership-in-our-solar-system-possible/ Quote: On Feb. 16, Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., and 12 other senators sent a letter to Deputy Secretary of Defense Kathleen Hicks and Deputy Director of National Intelligence Stacey Dixon calling for full funding for the AARO. The Biden administration’s previous funding request for fiscal year 2023 failed to fund anything beyond the office’s basic operating expenses, the lawmakers argued. “AARO provides the opportunity to integrate and resolve threats and hazards to the U.S., while also offering increased transparency to the American people and reducing the stigma,” the lawmakers’ letter stated. “AARO’s success will depend on robust funding for its activities and cooperation between the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community.”
