crazy to be honest even on the triore pull of the shirt he stopped but still went on to get the ball and lost it in the next phase of play. not bothered anymore we got the 3 points they didn't nothing to see there anymore nothing can be changed just let them whinge whinge whinge as on the red card appeal just shows how dopey they actually are its red as fergie's face after a whiskey session.

To be fair, if the shoe was on the other foot, we'd be in uproar on here about the referees performance.

FWIW, I don't think Firpos challenge was a penalty, I think he just (and I mean just) gets a touch on the ball. If we're honest, they've been given at times this season.

Thought Dawson should have been a red card when he stood on Harrison. It would have been harsh but the letter of the law states its a red. He escaped with a yellow but then hauled Bamford down at the edge of the area. I though it they were both at it tbh but once he gives the foul it's a yellow all day long. Wolves took Dawson off because they knew that he was going off for the next foul.

I don't believe Ayling committed a foul for his yellow. I don't believe McKennie deserved his yellow either.

The 4th goal should be ruled out for the shirt pull. It was clear and obvious as far as I could see. Doesn't matter how small the pull was. It's against the rules to grab a handful of shirt.

Jonnys tackle should be an 8 game ban. Ayling is lucky to walk off the pitch at the end. Jonny knew what he was doing, it was a cheap shot and a possible career ender. An 8 game ban seems a bit lenient to me.

Overall I thought Wolves were the better side but we put in a good away performance where we suckered them in and hit them on the break. Too many sloppy individual errors stops me from saying we were great yesterday but 3 points away from home is a right result. Wolves are decent too btw, they just don't score goals.

If it wasn't for the trademarked oiled guns of Traore giving it away, you'd think we'd swapped shirts before the game began.

If Southampton are always abbreviated to So'ton, why aren't Northampton abbreviated to No'ton ?

Still makes me smile, when Phillips is moaning about how long it has taken the Ref to disallow our 4th goal, only to let out an anguished "noooooo" when he realised the ref has given it :)

We scored two quality goals and were gifted two... another ref disallows Rods goal and gives them a penalty... and another ref red cards Dawson... it was sort of an orange for me, but as you say, good argument for a second yellow straight after. The Jonny one is as red as red gets.

On balance we got the better of the 50:50 calls for once.

As for what makes a good away performance? It's always a 'battling away performance' when the opposition miss their chances... and a 'shameful embarrassment' when they take them - despite that being nothing to do with us. But in much the same way we got a 'battling point' at Newcastle when really they should have buried us, yesterday we managed to take our early chance which invited them on... they had enough chances to beat us twice really, but left themselves open chasing the game. For once we took advantage. Great to go into a 2 week gap off a win and out of the bottom 3.

Big test at Arsenal then those 2 home games against forest and palace are massive.

Listen at 6 seconds, "why haven't WE been given a penalty", if that's not bias I don't know what is.
Hope we never hear from him again.

Yeah, I said it was good because we were pretty clinical for once up top. Harrison really should bury the Aaronson pull back. We looked dangerous on the counter. We scored 4 goals away from home. That's fantastic.

At the other end I thought Koch did well, Wober was fantastic. Roca and McKennie got through some dirty work in the middle. I thought Ayling and Firpo were very very poor. Our weak links throughout although Wolves are very strong out wide. Then there is the little mistakes with Meslier coming out and heading it, Roca not hooking it down the pitch, Wober and Firpo not really closing down for their 2nd, attacking with 4 players with 5 minutes left instead of keeping our shape, Rodrigo trying to turn his man and giving away a goal kick instead of keeping it in the corner in injury time. Lots of little "unprofessional" moments to pick at.

Great up front but very poor defensively and just general stupidity that nearly cost us the game.

I've watched it back several times and the shirt pull doesn't affect Traore at all. He just wants a foul so has a strop. It is definitely not a foul and, if it had been one of our players we'd be asking why he didn't play on.
If we don't score do you think Wolves would still be crying about it?
You could post a load of vids where shirts are being pulled in the box from corners but they're rarely given.
For many of the Wolves fans they don't want to blame their team, it must be a conspiracy against them.
The Firpo challenge was 50/50, it wasn't an attempt to stop a goalscoring opportunity, they were both going for the ball.

I see you still hate Firpo :)

What! Biased against Wolves? It's our job to moan about that! They are on six red cards now though.

Agree, he's not stopped, he stops himself. Play to the whistle, its schoolboy stuff, like putting your hand up for offside and stopping. In the penalty box when a corner is being lined up in every game its like WWF meets Come Dancing.
