My son recently started drinking it and then went to Dublin and said he'd had the best pint of it there and the worst. Is it that inconsistent? The one I had in Dublin was okay but nothing different to what I've tried in the UK. I just think it's over hyped and nothing special had many better stouts in my time.
Could be because they now pasteurise it so perhaps some aren't looking after it or the equipment correctly . Years ago you could tell the difference between the Guinness brewed at Park Royal in London and Dublin Guinness even when they had both been pasteurised .Still remember having the proper stuff watching London Irish play (where i heard the best team talk ever) when they were at Sudbury . ,
I'd certainly try it again in Ireland but it overshadows Irish beer and unfairly as there are so many great Irish beers but everyone just goes there and drinks Guinness.
Hearing a DPD driver has collapsed and died on the spot in Durham after being robbed. Scummy little bastards.
