That's why I asked him if he really believed that. When he said yes I fancied having a rant at him but I'm not going to give him the satisfaction. Leeds fans have very short memories ie Chapman and other things their players have done but I just can't be arsed with them to be honest. Them crying over that banner was a joke. I've said all along Carroll is ****. That's our only real problem - we need a proper number 9 that poaches goals. Hopefully a problem that can be sorted soon. Suarez needs a reliable partner, not some lanky amateur!

I've got no issue with Carrol himself, he clearly knew his limits and probably never wanted to leave the comfort of Newcastle. He looks ****ed all the time though, black rings round his eyes, it just adds fuel to the idea he's a caner. He was just a purchase done out of panic and the need to replace Tores and is no way on earth worth what Liverpool paid. Most players are way over priced nowadays but that took the biscuit really. The thing that as amusing was that how after these players were signed they suddenly became the best in their positions in the league. Not Carrol necessarily but Downing, mindless stats quoted on his cross completion and how he was Villa's player of the year. So what, he is still average. Those things can not hide that. I honestly think United fans are far more realistic about the abilities of our players.
This has turned into the The Official Man Utd & Man Utd banter Thread! Been Access Denied in work so I'm out of the picture 4 days a week. Carroll will be a good player for us but I agree with the Downing comments we need quality not quantity when it comes to crosses but I'm not surprised he wasn't my fav signing. Summary though, we have not signed crap players at all. Suarez Enrique Adam Henderson Have all done well and improved on what was a weak squad. Carroll I still think will come good. Understand why people think otherwise. Downing I'm not so sure on. Doni is hardly worth mentioning but is quality back up and again improved the squad.
