A bit like Lee Chapman then.

Only without the throwing down the stairs bit.

Maybe you should stop reading the sun ;)

Anyway about Cantona, would you like express your feelings of disappointment?

    I don't read the Sun.

You, on the other hand, clearly take the Daily Mail to be gospel so your argument is invalid. Everyone knows Chapman twatted his wife, I don't really feel compelled to produce facts to a person who's take on reality is so scewed he is convinced that all of Alex Fergusons success is down to the many random coaches who he happened to employ.

For someone who is so taken by facts, surely you should be producing some to 'prove' that Cantona screwed the Munich charity.

    Or this one

    http://www.aadet.com/article/Munich_air_disaster

    40th anniversary
In late 1997, John Doherty (a former United played who had left the club shortly before the disaster)[http://www.independent.co.uk/news/obituaries/john-doherty-400395.htmlapproached United chairman Martin Edwards on behalf of the Manchester United Former Players' Association to request a testimonial for those victims of the Munich disaster – both the survivors and the dependants of the ones who were lost.Morrin, pp. 201–202 Edwards was hesitant, but a benefit match was eventually sanctioned for a date as close to the 40th anniversary of the disaster as possible. Red Star Belgrade and Bayern Munich were touted as possible opponents for the match, and fans purchased tickets without the opponents even having been decided.Morrin, p. 203
However, in the midst of the preparations, former United player Eric Cantona, who had retired from football to pursue a career in film in the summer of 1997, expressed an interest in returning to Manchester United for a farewell match. Edwards, ever the businessman, took the opportunity to combine the two events into one.Morrin, pp. 203–204 From then on, it seemed to some that the match had ceased to be primarily a tribute to the Busby Babes and more about Cantona. Due to Cantona's new acting career, his schedule meant that he would not be available in February and the match was moved to 18 August, with the opposition to be a European XI chosen by Cantona himself. Martin Edwards was criticised for turning the match into a publicity stunt, while Elizabeth Wood, the divorced wife of Munich survivor Ray Wood, compared the treatment of the Munich victims to that of "dancing bears at the circus". Nevertheless, the match earned £47,000 for each of the victims' families, while Eric Cantona recouped over £90,000 in expenses directly from the testimonial fund, rather than from the club.Morrin, p. 205 The club has also received criticism from some quarters for its poor treatment of the survivors: Johnny Berry was forced to leave the apartment he rented from the club to make way for a new player.

On 7 February 1998, United played Bolton Wanderers at Old Trafford in the Premier League just a day after the 40th anniversary of the disaster. The match kicked off at 3:15 p.m. to allow a minute's silence to be observed at 3:06 p.m. Representatives from both teams laid floral tributes to those who lost their lives, with crash survivor and United director Bobby Charlton being joined by Bolton president Nat Lofthouse in leading out the two teams.

Took your time, must have been difficult finding your proof.

I think that it seems to be two newspapers offering their own side to one story. I'm not going to pay to read on and it would be good if one or two of the more credible papers were backing this up.

They aren't though, it's the Mirror and the Mail, so I'll decide to remain very sceptical about your source of 'proof', thanks anyway.

You poor misguided fool, feel free to live in denial. Your "legend" was just a greedy mercenary who didn't give a flying **** about your club.

Time to sign off. Goodnight, it's been your pleasure.

Oh so in that case we'll see all his loan players brought back from Hull in the next few days when Pearson goes to Leicester!

Oh yeah, I forgot people who had a life were incapable of processing well-known football happenings. Silly me.

Like the well known football happening of Lee Chapman throwing Leslie Ash down the stairs perhaps?
