VAR and the PGMOL Will brush it under.the carpet as they will say it didnt affect the result But my view is, it could have and should be shown as a huge mistake by VAR and Ref The ref initially gave the goal and changed his mind when VAR intervened
Murphy was fantastic, by the way. What a change. When he waved that lad off at Southampton, he’s just been getting better and better. Someone said his main issue is self belief and that he’s actually better than he shows, particularly in training. Eddie must see something. Anderson finally showing the promise, really grew into the game. Another one I need to call out - Joe ****ing Willock. He’s something else, lads. He’s so fast, his movement is first rate. Imagine you add just that bit of depth wide, in CM and a first rate left back, what are we going to do?!
Dan Burn was up against Johnson and he had literally one sniff over 90 mins... Burn had been targeted and come up against some of the best players on earth all season and rarely not come out on top. I don't see a huge issue there personally
He was indeed very good, at times, but I'm holding back on the Brazilian comparisons just for now. He's shown good flashes recently. Let's see if he can be consistent.
I think people were emotional and got pissed off that he slipped over, more than him actually having any type of bad game or starting weak.
Agree, Johnson is a good, quick player and I thought he would cause us problems, especially with those runs into the channel. But the boys kept him out of the game.
