I think we should play the Barnsley match as they have a mid week game and we don't. Could work to our advantage.
I agree, keep the momentum going we should have confidence in the depth of our squad. Postponments due to International callups have not done us any favours in the past.
Barnsley. 3 players have international call ups. If it was just Burns and Leigh, I would have been happy with the game to go ahead. However, with Broadhead being the 3rd, happy with the postponement as he has come in and become (for me) undroppable.
Disappointed to say the least. Let’s hope we are well clear of Barnsley and Plymouth in second spot by the time the rescheduled fixture comes round.
Also means we don't have a game for two weeks after Shrewsbury this weekend - will the break in momentum knock us for six, or will we be nice and refreshed?
Whilst I'd rather we had been able to keep our momentum going I've no doubt KMc will have them using the time wisely.
I don’t think we’ve given it the required thought. We’ll have to rest people anyway. Four games in March, eight in April.
And we have a more settled team, terrific subs who know their roles and a top keeper. We all.play against clubs who need pts and will come to play at us which suits our style.No-one has sat boringly deep against us for weeks. We are more resilient now too. I remain confident that if we keep minding our own business we will overhaul Plymouth by early April.
We will remain unbeaten for the rest of the season, which means we will go up, if not automatic... then via the playoffs!!
So Wednesday dropped 2 pts last night and face Barnsley next. Stranger things have happened, perhaps a bit of a dip in form. And if Plymouth drop more points on Tuesday,it will become very interesting. We look to another record run today, and minding our business. I would like to see the same starting X1.
Last night makes no difference to us. It’s between us and Barnsley and Plymouth for that second spot. They are not both likely to go on a bad run so we can only try to win every game.
