    ... Palace sack Viera.

If Ince is sacked next he'll be apoplectic.

"Chairman Steve Parish said: “It is with enormous regret that this difficult decision has been made. Ultimately, results in recent months have placed us in a precarious league position and we felt a change is necessary to give us the best chance of retaining Premier League status."

Before their last match (a defeat to their rivals), Palace went 3 games in a row without having a shot on target. Now 12 games without a win and 5 points off bottom in a league where everyone down there seems to be picking up points.

Football management is harsh, but there's hundreds of millions riding on Palace staying up and Vieira had them plummeting fast. Good decision made by a chairman who seems to be aiming for stability.

Its "all aboard the roundabout" these days, a lucrative but short lived joy ride is the norm rather than the exception.

Think he’d be mental going there. He’s in a good place now and going up in 2nd gear. What’s the point in risking coming back down!

Thing is, I think it’s an EFL embargo which is not applicable under the EPL. Makes a mockery if this is the case but they are 2 different organisations. Might be wrong though

As Bobby Robson once said, you will be much richer if you are a poor manager who gets sacked, rather than a good manager who stays in post.

as Brucey and Big Sam have proved, both making millions from being sacked , and fire-fighting at desperate, relegation-threatened clubs. Peter Reid also did to a lesser degree, but its a very lucrative business.
