Because you can play that way mate.

You're not stupid. We have been in poor form. 1 win within 5 games or so.

Away games help when you can do what we do. There is no surprise we are bottom 4 of home form. We don't have it to take it to teams

We deserved a point from this, pressed them hard and lost to an offside goal.

And that's against one of the best sides in the league

I'm proud of them too it was a really tough game and you can make a strong case we should have got a point. It's all part of the learning process for our young lads.

I agree to a point. For me I feel we're missing experience in places but with the injuries we have we have to make do with the side we put out

    cheers again RTB...

first off, i thought first half they were one of the better football teams i have seen up here, nice goal from michut and thier reply was a decent one to be fair...and for a change a ref showed some cards so was really looking forward to the 2nd half.

thier second should never have been allowed but that linesman did a few errors that went against us, a draw would have been the right result but once again we see them making tackles i would expect to see that i would not expect any action, yet we made the same ones and they got a foul... really sick of it all, just want a 'fair share' from the officials.

take that lucky 2nd away and patto only really had to make a couple of saves, in general there is little we can complain about from the lads in a reasonably good game...gelhardt ran around but not as effective tonight, ba followed up his good game with a stuttering night, dan neil at times needs to be pro-active rather than reactive, roberts needs to move when he loses the ball rather than just slowing down to a stop and looking at the sky but nothing too bad from them, onien gets my MotM simply because there is so much effort from him.

i honestly hate when our games get moved for sky, does no-one any favours and always seem to throw our worst performances up.

    Tough one.

    They will have had more

    XG
    Shots on target
    Off target
    Corners
    Dangerous attacks
    Corners.

So clearly dominated when it mattered.

We lack experience and a presence up front.

Agree that O'Nien was our best player he didn't put a foot wrong and did some important defensive work. Calming influence as well because he never panics on the ball.

**** on on your own supporters again, Mowbray out the smoggy get not worth going back now and get rid of speakman as well, their 2nd goal just walked into the net shocking defending that, any team needs a result good old soft touch Sunderland are there.

I didnt watch the game because of work commitments but looking at the lineups and the subs it stands out why our season has nosedived...
Sheff Utd used 4 different strikers in the match, they started with Jebbison and Ndiaye and replaced them second half with Sharp and McBurnie.
We dont have a single striker in our squad. We cant expect to be able to compete with the top teams in this league with such a disadvantage. We need to bring in at least 3 forwards in the summer and hope we can persuade Stewart to stay and pay him what every other good Championship striker earns.

Well if Sheffield United end up being one of the best two teams in this league I don't think that we are that far away, given our well known problems this season.
Looking forward to what remains of the season and to a number of the younger lads gaining experience. Think it's time to concentrate on improving our own players now, rather than someone else's, and setting ourselves up for a good crack at the play offs next season.
However I have no idea what we need to do to get a fair run of refereeing decisions, too many have gone against us this season and most of them were important in the context the match
    Ah well onwards and upwards
