Know it's irrelevant, but that's about 4 times their LB has clipped ebiowei now with not even the hint of a yellow
Still need two wins from somewhere and the next two games are about as easy as they're going to get. If we don't win either and the teams below us keep sneaking points as they have this week...
Tbf you can see why Burnley are walking this league, clinical, but well drilled and work hard all of them off the ball. Even though it's painful, it's impressive to watch. This is the kinda level we need to try and get to next season.
They've lost two games all season, on this evidence, it's hard to see them losing another one. If we want to be at this level next season, we'd need a major overhaul and some serious money spent.
I just hope we dont let this season just pass by.... I hope that Acun and Tan look at tonights game and see the difference between a loan for Pelkas and Ebiowei and the lad Tella. Massive lessons to be learnt for next season and for us to become a force... Massive learning curve for LR too...
Clever as well, lots of little piddly fouls on the rare occasions we turn them over stopping play and allowing them to get back.
Tella now that is a loan signing how he is not in the Southampton side is beyond me. Our use of the loan market isn’t very good.
They play like Vincent Kompany did. Bit of niggling when the opposition are trying to get back in, positioning sound, solid defence. Muric has done really well, he's a really good keeper and I would have liked him here last season when he was available from Man City. Think he went to Forest instead.
I'm going to refrain from being too critical plus I missed the first 20 minutes when we were apparently at our best. Just think a few of our players have been exposed as just not quite good enough for what we we need to challenge at the top end.
