Love the positivity! “Overdue”? We’ve only scored 2 goals, 4x this PL season & nothing above. I’ll be ecstatic with ANY win for us.
The OS has highlighted that Bassett Avenue wil be 'closed' : "Travel notification: We’ve been notified that emergency road closures have been put in place on Winchester Road and Bassett Avenue and these will remain in place this evening." I've looked at other traffic websites, that mention 'Lane closures', as opposed to road closures. Can anyone with local knowledge of the route from the end of the M3 to the city centre (aka The Avenue/Bassett Avenue) clarify the situation, this evening? In short, will I be OK to drive down Bassett Avenue to the game, or not?
Of course, it may just be a ploy by some Saints supporters to keep everyone else out of the area/off the road, so that their journey into town is quicker than usual
Just came down the avenue, it's not shut but there is a slight lane closure between Chilworth roundabout and Winchester Road. Was ok 15 minutes ago. But I'd recommend avoiding if you can.
Some are saying that Tall Paul and Che shouldn't play together but that's just theory, i'd like to see it given a go in practice from the start.
Don’t like those changes. Diallo and JWP don’t work as a pair. Ely has zero attacking threat in a game we need to win when we’re struggling to score anyway. But nothing we can do about that now. Time to walk to the ground, get soaked and support the Saints. COYR
Nervy night ahead for fans, hopefully the players are really up for this, a couple of odd selections but sure for the right reasons
Lavia was carrying a knock against Utd, so presumably that's an enforced change. In full agreement that I don't like seeing Moi there...a home match against Brentford isn't the sort where we should be starting someone who is effectively a defensive forward player.
