I don't think Botman has outperformed Schar this season. Defensively they've been similar, going forward Schar is much better. I've never seen such a range of passing on a CB playing for us. Best ball playing CB since Coloccini
We need a LB, CM, LW and a striker minimum at the end of this season. Get rid of the dross. Seems like Tierney, Maddison, Diaby are the choices for the first three positions which would do nicely. But I can’t think of a decent striker we could get in who wouldn’t cost 70m.
No not mount... please god. For the money we'd pay for him, Maddison would be far more worth it. I'd take a risk on his fitness because of his output.
Could be some very decent players getting relegated this season, so I think that might have an impact on who is available and at what price.
We won't sign Mount. McT - I'd had the rumour we were getting him in Jan from a solid enough source. Might happen. Tierney- cracking player, I think we could get him, but injuries are a concern.
In fantasy world I'd go with the following to replace/upgrade on the outgoings: Yossafa Moukoko - Callum Wilson - in 3 years when he needs to be registered Moussa Dembele - Ryan Fraser Marcus Thuram - Jacob Murphy Moussa Diaby - Matt Ritchie
The days have gone from signing Man U/Chelsea cast offs like Nicky Butt, Obertan, Babayaro, Duff etc. Muck-tom-in-ay will probably stay at Man U as a squad player, not if not will sign for the likes of West Ham or Palace. And everyone knows they want rid of Mount, so he's hardly a hot property. You've stuck a diamond in the **** with Tierney though, he'd be great here.
