Current scores mean if we win tomorrow we could be 7th which is ridiculous considering our recent results. This league is mental
This is why we can't give up until there's absolutely no chance of making the playoffs. There are some pretty dismal teams, like Millwall, who don't even deserve to be in the Championship let alone the PL. There'll be a team that implodes, Luton imo, and another who'll sneak in after looking shot ... ... between us and Preston I reckon. We may not be ready for the PL but the playoffs would be fun and another Wembley trip would mean I don't have to cancel our hotel
Funny isn’t it. Nick Pooe did exactly the same at the weekend and, despite having VAR, git a much lesser punishment… I.e. none!
Aye, that was pathetic. Embarrassing from the officials but no real surprise, the Saudi boys have had loads of luck this season and benefited from VAR more than most.
I remember saying Luton would blow up whilst in League 1 and they didn't, even when their manager left. It's so close to call, just glad we're in with a chance, as TM said yesterday at least were not looking over our shoulders at a relegation scrap. Going to be an interesting few week's to look forward too.
Worrying ain't it. Seems to be much more than just a concussion. I know everyone will be ultra cautious, but still.
https://www.a-love-supreme.com/single-post/amad-out-for-sheff-clash Today the gaffer has revealed that Amad will remain unavailable tomorrow night against Sheffield, but hopes he can be fit for the weekend. Mowbray also gave a little squad update. AMAD “I haven’t seen Amad today [Tuesday], he’s been with the medical department. He was on the grass doing a little bit of training with them yesterday and still can feel it, so I’ve just told him that we’ll forget about tomorrow. Amad will hopefully be OK for Saturday.” PRITCH AVAILABLE “Pritchard was out with him and the medical department yesterday and he’s been able to train with us today, so he will probably have some involvement. We’ll have to wait and see whether he has any reaction today so I won’t know until tomorrow, but if he’s named on the bench tomorrow then he’s come through OK.” GOOCH “I thought Lynden did really well. He brings that grit to the team, that drive that balances off against the technical players. I'm not saying he's not technical but he brings true grit and he can play in many positions. He was doing extremely well before he got injured but it gave Trai Hume an opportunity and look how well he's performing, so adversity for one player gave success for another. Now he has to find a spot in the team and work hard as he does. He's a pleasure to be around and he epitomises the industrious side of what this team needs.”
I'm going for a decent win tonight. They're looking over their shoulder a bit in the league and some of their players will have their eye on the weekend. Apart from that....we're a good side capable of some very good football!
Re Amad and Gelhardt…. Can ANYONE explain why Benno called them “Ahmed” and “Geldart” respectively!??? Does my head in
Tbh I know we could beat SU tonight, if we turn up and play like we can... But the Stoke game has left scars!
Hopefully we learned from it. We were much more compact against norwich and pressed as a team again. Need to reproduce this at home. We have struggled to find a shape at home played much too open. We are due a home performance.
I believe they play in a similar way to Stoke so it'll be a different game to Norwich ... .... it's another form of hoofball, Batth and Ballard will have to be good.
