nah. they are unlikely to win it. they just don't look right as a side this year. real will win this most likely. nobody else left in it is anywhere near their best level.
they were OK yes but not real madrid good. we were awful away and they knew they had the group won at anfield. I wouldn't put them as favourites any more than Bayern. the draw is going to be crucial for a lot of clubs. they could all knock each other out I guess. pity is I'd fancy us more at anfield against any of them. I think most of us knew the night of the draw real were going to do thst to us.
It was the worst possible draw but more than likely we would meet them in a later round anyway especially if they are seen as the team to beat.
luck of draw. almost every time we have got a madrid side we have gone out l. we reach the final and win it with a big comeback. someone else might do for them.
They were never going to lose to Leipzip though. I can see them going out to Napoli if they get them.
leipzig are ****. we've played them in the recent past yeah? they've only gotten worse no biggie, there's been plenty of thumping in the cl.

Time to look at the potential draws for the CL quarter finals Bayern Munich Real Madrid Man City Inter milan AC Milan chelsea Benfica Napoli As always is down to total luck of the draw now. there are some clearly weaker sides that can be spanked rotten in this set of teams. Inter, AC, Cheslea and benfica should be reaching the end of the road but any one could get a good draw. Bayern, Real, City and napoli have also the same problem as they see to negotiate the real start of this competition. Looking at this 8 its very sad LFC got a bad draw cos frankly this time last year we'd walk this to the final.
We got what we deserved with the draw. We probably wouldn't have any gripes if we'd even only lost by 1 goal in Naples.
We were unlucky in the groups. 15 points was enough to win nearly every group stage other than ours and I think bayerns. Just the way it goes though
but even if we were second in the group still we could have drawn bayern, benfica, porto or real. IMO we'd have beaten that bayern side and benfica and porto have been twatted by us several times. Yes win the group and its even easier but we had the worst possible last 16 draw for unseeded team. If we had anyone else I'd probably be saying If we avoid real in he quarters we have a great chance of progressing. If sure we all discussed this very thing before the draw in November and directly after.
