Im driving up from Basingstoke, where is the best place to park nowdays? I think i used to park at some Yacht club a short walk past the stadium, cant find the name of it to plan my journey - any suggestions?
Selles is doing much better than I expected under the circumstances. It didn't seem to help players, when they saw Ralph pacing up and down his technical area during every game. They could sense Ralph's nervous anxiety growing as the match neared the 90 minute mark and it could explain why we lost so many games from winning positions. Selles seems much calmer during matches and although we aren’t scoring more goals than we should, we aren’t conceding as many as we did under Ralph or that demented Welshman. Saints 2 Brentford 1
Just thinking re Liverpool last game of the season. Imagine a situation where if we win, its keeps us up and sends Everton down. I think we'd certainly have a full house of support from all around the ground.
A couple of months back I did think about that. But then Everton appointed Dyche. And, more importantly, Liverpool have started winning again. A bit like two years ago, where they finished the season on fire to charge into the CL places. I could easily see a scenario now where they need to win on the last day to get top four.
Bazza KWP Janny B ABK Perraud Lavia JWP Edozie Alcaraz Sulemana Adams Paul to come on at 60m, give him a good chance. Theo to come on at 75 to provide positive influence. We’ll smash em. We’re overdue a big win so I’m predicting 4-0 saints.
Ah amazinstoke. I spent my gap yaar there, fond memories. I park in Lawn Road, it’s about a 20-25m walk through. You can frequent an establishment at le vale de bevois on the way.
Worth noting that Dyche's performance with Everton isn't demonstrably better than Selles' with us: 10 points in 7, versus 7 in 4. Everton should be okay; they have the talent (generally), and Dyche is a good manager. But with their next three being Chelsea, Spurs and Man Utd, they could end up back in the drop zone if they can't keep finding 1-0s.
We absolutely need to get 3 points from the next 2 games. Getting those 3 seems more likely against Brentford, but Spurs have big off days so you never know. If we get any less than 3 it's going to be a struggle. If we get 4 that would be amazing and 6 dreamland. But 3 is what we need as a minimum. Going to try and not think about this until after work as it's such a massive game and if we show the right sort of mentality and effort on the pitch, then I hope we are in for a special 'great escape' atmosphere under the lights that will spur the team on to a win. Both terrified and can't wait to get there later. COYR
I do rate the Tottenham game as our better chance of a win this week, so wouldn’t be too disappointed with a draw tonight.
