    Why not - he is contracted to 2025 from memory. Is up to us what we do with him.

    That said, I’d have recalled him in Jan if we had the chance to, not sure of his loan agreement arrangements.

    But if/when we go down, I’d be keeping him unless a stupid high bid comes in.

    The Tella thing also shows why I’m confident about our chances next year if we do go down. He’s obviously had a great year, and unless he’s improved remarkably in 6 months then our players should be able to be great in that league. Smallbone has apparently been Stokes best player as well. These guys were both average at absolute best for us in the PL and we would’ve picked the majority of our current squad over them in the summer

    In Europe all handball penalties are yellow cards which I totally disagree with.
