    Yeah he was, cos he hit the front sooner than the jockey wanted. But the 2nd was coming back and 2 more strides would've headed the winner !

    Must be edging 180 after that, demolished State Man 9 lengths hands and heels. Wonderful horse.

    True and I can’t really remember the golden age of hurdling at the end of the 70s/early 80s.
    Definitely the best since istabraq though I think.

    Kribensis was awesome and had the speed of a proper flat horse, would've loved to see them both run against each other here at their peak !

    Interesting that last year CH won his Supreme a good 5 seconds faster than the Champion Hurdle. This year the two races were roughly the same time. Although, obviously, CH could have finished in a faster time. Still, not a bad performance by Marine Nationale, who would have finished a clear second in the Champion Hurdle on that performance
