SNP leadership competition continues to go as well as expected.

They've got no talent once Nigela McFarage is gone.

No problem with him having a pool, a private jet or a tropical island imo, if he's earned it that's fair enough.

It's just that he's a new PM telling poor people to turn their heating down while he's turning up the heat in his swimming pool.

The nurses and doctors are on strike but they're told to tighten their belts because there's no money ...

... but according to Rishi we're all in it together.

In what together ? The swimming pool ? Must be a bloody big pool, no wonder it uses so much electricity to heat it. :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Congratulations to the labour MP who is bringing a private members bill to ask for free school meals for primary kids beyond year 2. A level of means testing will be helpful as those who can afford to should pay. But there are many who cant and the link between a decent meal and the ability to learn is clear as day. The kids have suffered terrible educational consequences through the amount of missed school due to the pandemic. Time to prioritise them now Mr Hunt please. Use the bit of leeway you have generated in the countrys finance on the next generations please.

Very good news that we will be building new nuclear subs in the uk. We are stronger economically when we are building things and this seems an important step. Good result for Barrow too. These wins all add up.

Theresa May raises concerns about the government's illegal migration bill, genuine victims of modern slavery will be denied support and claims the Home Office know thats the case. She also warned it would be wrong to think that the bill will deal with the issue of illegal migration once and for all.

It's got to be considered a work in progress if it's ever going to work. A constant process of review and improvement.

True. It'll take a level of commitment we haven't seen for decades.

Cannot see it working from what May is saying that genuine victims of slavery will be denied support. Also calls the Home Office into disrespect.

These banking issues in the US dont seem to be going away. Other countries seem to be seeing nervousness creeping in. Worrying times with inflation still high across the world. We seem not to be impacted so far, but it is one to watch carefully. Last thing we need is another banking crisis.

There's no such thing as a banking crisis tbh ...

... no matter what happens the bankers will rake in a fortune, the government will step in to help and things will just carry on.as normal.

Very true, small business go to the wall, end of story and unemployment. Banks go to the wall, bail out by governments, in other words can’t fail

Banks will never fail . I would still like to know , if all the banks lost all that money in 2008, where did it go ? Who has it? If our banks’ “ best in the world” traders gambled and lost , which less talented traders won it?
