We looked more dangerous with more attacking options.

We have competition for the CM positions now - Joelinton, Bruno, Longstaff, Willock.

When big joe comes back, do we drop one of longstaff or Willock for him?

Or do we drop one of our attackers to play Willock or Joelinton at LW like we did before, so dropping an attacking threat for a workhorse defensive asset to cover Burn?

    Maybe -

    Gordon/ASM----------Isak----------Almiron/Murphy
    ------Joelinton-------Bruno-----Willock--------
    Burn---------Botman--------Schar----------Trippier
    ----------------------------Pope---------------------

Longstaff or Willock to be dropped in my mind. I don't wanna see us go more defensive again and playing all 4 of our CM's with one of them playing LW.

I want an actual winger at LW.

Wouldn’t play Pope up front on his own. Maybe with Isak but definitely not on his own. He wouldn’t have a prayer.

Iongstaff is playing well I think Joelinton may struggle to get back in because willock was the best player on the pitch yesterday and even Murphy played well.

Joelinton is definitely one of our strongest options in that midfield though. One of our biggest threats from set pieces, pops up with the odd goal, wins the ball back, carries the ball, his aggression is important.

He just needs a tad more discipline at times though like.

Yes Longstaff out, puts in the effort, but Willock is far better.

Gordon to start, ASM isn't fitting in, and Gordon has looked quality so far.

Murphy did well yesterday and gives us another option, so it allows us to rest Miggy on occasion.

Targett should definitely be considered too...although Burn is doing well tbh and doesn't deserve all the slagging he gets.
