I'm sure it was tongue firmly in cheek mate, we'll score more than five Joking aside.. There's no doubt you're a good team but in the four previous seasons we've been in this division the team that's won the league has drawn at Ashton Gate. So you'll only win the league if we draw i'm afriad, sorry about that
Soton will be a good barometer of whether we really are turniung the corner or just had a few "feel good" results as many teams do when a new manager comes in. We have reason to believe that things are in fact turning around and maybe Soton will be on the end of a good lashing? Of course, they are top for a reason and I have much respect for the way Mr. Adkins has them playing. So long as we give a good account of ourselves, it will be a balanced game. 4 weeks ago I would be battening down the hatches for an absolute slaughter. Every dog has it's day.
A bloke once told me that the flats used in only fools and horses ( nelson mandela house ) are the ones behind your ground. is this true or is he just pulling my plonker?
The flats were used in Fools & Horses for sure - my Mum used to work with a lady who lived there and her flat was used by the BBC for filming certain scenes. I remember walking past the Landogger Trow one lunchtime and the yellow Reliant Robin van was parked outside and a film crew was there. Memories....
One thing for sure, this will be a cracker. Saints and the robins play footy the right way on the deck. Still reckon we will win,we have finally turned the corner.
Sorry to say, but that doesn't bode well for you. The last thing you want to be doing right now is trying to beat us at our own game.
We traditionally have always played football on the deck. We won't be changing for the saints. You'll be suprised when you come to the gate,it is a different team from 4 weeks ago.
the dev advo.. When the whole of the existing premiership is playing in the world league... the whole of the existing championship is playing in the Euro league and the present Div 1 is the new English Premiership...scheduled for great, great, great, great, great, great grandsons 70th birthday!
There was a wee bit of slagging of Scottish managars on our (Saints) site a few weeks ago, which included a derisory comment about the appointment of McInnes at BC, which I suggested was unreasonable. He is a decent bloke, did well at StJohnstone, has a good reputation, and I`m glad he has made a good start. I hope it continues against our promotion rivals !
Actually, we are much better when we do, trouble is, its been a couple of seasons now so we are a bit rusty. I believe that we will give you a run for your money on the day and I am someone who posted a month ago that I think you will run away with this division. Just don't make the mistake of under estimating us because it will be your downfall...
Clearly whoever posted that didn't bother taking a look at his career and CV which conjures 1 word... "winner" and thats what we will be, only a question of how long before we get the momentum going...
Adkins never takes anyone for granted, though sometimes the team don't always listen. Your best chance to score is just after the break when we seem a bit slow to start. A recent development that I hope Nigel is working on. Of course, you could be three down by then
