Not sure where the blogger gets his info, but this would be very interesting - if true. We know Lambert is not interested in 'big time Charlies' with the massive wages and baggage they bring with them, so Rhodes would seem an ideal fit for the NCFC style of player. http://www.footballfriendsonline.co...some-luck-so-leave-rhodes-alone-canaries.html
He would be a quality addition but tbh I haven't actually seen us linked with him anywhere so at this moment in time I don't believe a word of transfer news until it comes out of the mcnally's mouth in January!
as i mentioned on a thread on the binner board a couple of weeks ago, i spoke to someone who works at ipswich town a long while ago and he stated that rhodes has a bee in his bonnet about how he felt he was treated there. this could bizarrely help us as if he really is that peeved about his time at our rivals, a move to us would be a rather large dig at them. i believe he will be exactly the sort of player lambert will try and chase in january but i suspect there will be many others who think he is the right man to boost their survival chances.
Obviously hypothetical BUT if Jordan Rhodes did come to us would that not give PL a bigger headache? We have seen the 4-4-2 not work so well at Villa but was ok at Liverpool despite getting battered without the scoreline it should have been. So what formation would we play to accommodate him and who would make way?
No sightings of Ameobi in the past couple of months sn23. However, us Canaries will forever be on 'Shola watch'...
The words "Shola Ameobi" and "Norwich" in the same sentence will forever cause me to twitch nervously.
Someone mentioned that Rhodes was sighted at Nandos with Pilks a few weeks back..........Nandos is the new Asda The legend of Ameobi can live on with his younger brother
Martin and Barnett have done a brilliant job but i would like to see a big CB brought in for Jan, Cannavaro style cultured intelligent ball player with a cool head......
Pilkington, Vaughan and Naughton practicially live in that place according to their twitter pages. Quite surprised they're eating there, not that the foods bad but surely if your earning grands per week you'd be going to a place serving Wagyu Fillet Steak.
Whitbreads calm and cultured but injury prone, we need some strength in that area. I do agree with getting in another forward carting Wilbraham off somewhere.
4-4-2 doesnt seem to work with holty and moro upfront, rhodes is a completely different type of player and maybe him and moro could kick it off. If we were to purchase rhodes then maybe that might signal the end of hoolahan if we were to go more 4-4-2 with pilks and benno widemen and fox and johnson in the middle! As i say, he will be a man in demand and will be linked with every club in the country like man utd which has already happened. I will be amazed if we even make a move for him let alone sign him...
