He is a must. Leadership and experience are needed as much as skill, youth, and pace. He is just one of those characters that will give confidence to younger players as well as protect them when they are struggling or slip up. Great player -no- fantastic character - absolutely!!
Brilliant, well needed result. Been keeping a lid on it recently with me Nana's advice in mind...'if you've got nowt nice to say then say nowt'. Glad to have something nice to comment on! Agree with the general feeling on 09. I think he's limited in his ability but a perfect example of attitude, fitness and determination and of making the most of what you have. He's made himself indispensable; this team's Bally. Our very own smiling (and kissing) assassin.
True, but in his defence he has had very little game time to get up to speed. Or has the sainted Speakman bought a dud, time will tell.
I wouldn't dream of being rude to those who'd given up on us or predicted a battering today ... ... but **** off you ***** sack of ******** *****
Fully expected us to lose today but a terrific team effort defensively and a cracking goal from Ba. Felt we might have got Bennette on for Gelhardt but chuffed with the win.
I watched that on TV. We were never getting beat...the fight and determination was brilliant to watch We have got some real talent in our young players The seniors - Luke, Danny, and Lynden, were immense. They instilled confidence across the park Patto is stand out for his age Trai is going to be worth millions Dan Ballard also Edouard also Dan Neil is already Jack Clarke and Patrick Roberts are incredible Joffy is almost there The other newcomers - Ba, Ekwha, Jews, etc will be there soon I am forgetting to mention the likes of Denis, Aji, Cory, Ross, Amad, Alex who couldn't play But the future is as bright as I can remember for at LEAST 25 years Hawaaaaaaaaaay
Going under the radar a bit Michut tremendous ability but also has a calm that takes the sting out of things And he’s only a bairn in his first full season. Think we could build a midfield around this lad
It keeps being mentioned that we have tough games ahead ... ... but the game was tough for Norwich today, barely troubled us. A win against Luton could change our season and we have four of the nexr six at home. Let's not just give up, the players obviously haven't.
This, even with our blip burnley aside there is no one to fear in this league no reason we can’t get 4 - 6 points from the next 2, could just as easily come away with 1 though such is the nature of the league
Only tried taittainger for the first time before Xmas ( a present from my next door neighbour) and I thought oh! That’s what champagne is supposed to taste like.
