Excellent win , and just what we needed. A massive 3 points against the odds. I still believe Bennette should have been played in situations like the second half of this game, obviously Tony disagrees and he is still rabbiting on about language problems, most successful teams these days are multilingual, or has he not noticed.
Today we had very little possession but made more of what we had and could easily have had one or two more goals. Despite having less possession we were constantly looking to play forward and it’s obvious that the young players know that they can still play with confidence and freedom to play beautiful football. Said it before but worth repeating, loving this club, ‘the project’ the way they want to play. OAU FTM
I was slagging him when he missed his chances, but he had a great game today as a10 and ended up with an assist. There is definitely a player in there, hopefully his contribution will continue for the rest of the season
Watched the game live over here on ESPN. Just the result needed to get us back in the right direction. A week is a long time in football. Last week the world has come to an end but this week life is worth living again. Thought the two big lads at the back were immense. Ba took his goal well. Normally don’t mention this when we win but some of the refereeing decisions were bordering on the bizarre. The one where their defender turned and tripped over himself and they got the free kick amazing or in the words of Basil Fawlty say good night to the troops Gracie. Finally a mention to TM. Well done sir with the resources you’re working with you are doing an amazing job. Onward and upwards HTL!!
Very good that today. Huge effort and could have been won by half time. Clean sheet very good for everyone after we got done in last week.
