I watched out of curiosity this morning, and quite liked it, if you just want to see the action it showed everything you would want to see. I can't remember the last time I watched live and when I do watch via i-player I frequently run through the analysis anyway.
So on paper there is an argument for the "express" show to be the core offering to the BBC tax payer, and those who want the Lineker edition can pay an extra 1-2 quid on their BBC tax bill to fund it.
Here's the "alternative" highlights Trust me, however bad you assume they will be, the reality is they are so much worse Gee, I wonder why that channel is losing £30m a year...?
Bit bizarre, basically just like watching the youtube highlights except they have commentary at least. Hopefully just a one off as it wouldn’t survive very long if it was like that every week.
Yeah they showed it and then paused the graphic where it said offside but even with the line drawn, he looked onside and level.
Apparently if he manscaped yesterday morning he'd have been onside, but because he manscaped on Friday evening he was offside
There would be no point as could just watch the YouTube highlights which are usually posted within a hour of the game ending. The only advantage of the bbc express show would be that it’s all in one place but most of the time I’m not really bothered about watching other game highlights if it’s a 0-0 anyway
I saw the game and no, I can safely say he wasn’t any better and not prominent whatsoever. I was surprised his goal was not allowed to stand as he looked inside to me.
I think he’s just an emergency backup. Whether he should get more game time is up for debate but I see why the club signed him. Better to have and not need than need and not have like we currently see in some positions.
I thought he was one of our better players, scored a good goal that VAR decided to chalk off, had a prominent role in all 3 of our goals, and was involved in most of the good moments for Spurs in the game.
Do you watch the Sky Sports vid clips for all games in a match week that an edition of MOTD could show ?? If so, then at the very worst MOTD "express" would be the same as what you already do (I did a quick check on youtube and it appears their channels does not do a "play list" for all the games played on a given weekend) .
Sometimes SSN will show all the games/goals one after another. I have motd on series link but don’t always watch it from start to finish
Hey, I saw the second half! It sounds like he played well in the first and he was decent in the second too. The VAR decision on his goal is another of those farcical calls that clearly aren’t “clear and obvious”. Porro was also very good, I didn’t know too much about him prior to joining other than obligatory YouTube stuff but he looks like the first proper FB/ WB we’ve had since the season before Tripps left. Been far too long. Knowing Conte though he’ll drop him next week.
I was impressed with what I saw of Porro, he wasn`t tested defensively, but he looked exciting going forward, with pace, trickery, good delivery and good technically. There was a glimpse of what we can expect moving forward, the sooner he settles into the team the better.
