you have tonactually have the cash in the bank to transfer to the other club on the day of sale, or on the day of the next installment. there's going to be 30mil going out of lfc to fsg to repay anfield road end, main stand and Kirkby for the next 5 to 10 years as the repayments go in.
The debt to FSG is £149m so it better not be 10 years of £30m or else the interest rate wonga levels . You assume that FSG , if they think fit , won't decide to give a break in repayments / bank loan to allow transfer spend if required.
that the repayments are a serious drain on cash flow and will be into the future despite us increasing revenue. fsg could just change the terms to make it half the fee for twice as long or drop them altogether but they will do neither.
Jota to Newcastle is gathering pace. £62m is the number. That’ll go someday to buying a new midfielder. Cash investment still to materialise and if it doesn’t, we’ll continue to struggle.
hmm. I think the fee is double that to them but then doing any business with them is apparently legitimising their regime.
I rate Jota and wouldn't want to lose him ideally, but it is an area of the pitch where we have an abundance of talent. Paid £41m for him,if we could get £62m it would be good business
I like Jota. If him and firmino go in summer then we end up short again up top with only Salah gakpo diaz and nunez so need to then spend again there. If Newcastle are going to be a top 4 challenger then selling a player just entering his prime to them makes zero sense
Salah, Diaz, Nunez, Gakpo and Jota... That's our forward options once Bobby leaves in the summer. Maybe you could add Elliott in there too. However, from that five, Jota is last pick every time no matter the system or formation. If we could get decent mustard for him, is consider it. I'd prefer we sold Salah but I don't see anyone coughing up that sort of money for the transfer fee or wages.
If Jota goes and one of the others picks up an injury you’re then left with 3 players to play all season. Unless he really wants to go just don’t see the need in selling him. He’s different to the others as well. He has a habit of being in right place in the box and can use both feet when it comes to finishing. We have no idea how diaz is going to be after his injury, and if Salahs form doesn’t pick up then really is restricting our options.
in the end.... jota is 26 and headed for 27. if he fetched 62mil when the saudis just declared a 16 whatever billion profit on oil price gouging then I'd be very disappointed. prime player? to them 85mil min.
we will only be playing for 4th next season and not in the cups anyway. the kids for the europa if we are lucky here with the fa cup goung to city like the fa want and 6th then will get us there.
we have jota by the balls. if he wants to go then it's our say as his contract is 2027. if he doesn't want to go great. if newcastle want to offer 100mil fiar enough.
depends how badly we need the money to build though, doesn’t it? If we need the cash badly for a big signing in midfield, then the negotiation is not all one way.
klopp was bladdering away about how important he is to the team so we will see I expect. we can name whatever price. this lot paid more for isak.
