The Champion bumper form of Facile Vega last year is pretty weak isn't it? Obviously it doesn't mean he can't win the Supreme as it may be another rank crop of youngsters coming through and it might not have to beat much.
As you asked so nicely. Same as every year you are weighing up actual form against potential. The potential side of things really relies upon visual impression which is why the two double green horses are near the front of the market. For me the form horse in the race is ENCANTO BRUNO who also has the positive of a course win. Maybe Statto can fill us in on how the mares fare in this event but on that score I quite like Fiercely Proud and think could conceivably outrun her odds.
Pick a ground, any ground at the minute. There is rain in the forecast for Monday, which probably means it will retain soft in the going, but what the true ground is, well that is a guessing game
I saw this earlier on a social media post. Beggars belief that some clown thoughtpunters would pay £950 for 5 nights b&b in a 4 berth container.
Inthepocket going for the Supreme rather than the Ballymore as many would have predicted. HdB on RTV today confirming that was the plan. Some 25/1 NRNB available, although looks held by Il Etait Temps! Rachel Blackmore likely to take the ride though, for JP, first race.... I'd say goes off shorter!
At last we can start some serious studying for Tuesday with the final declarations out in a couple of hours. I used the 5 hour train journey from Munich to Berlin yesterday to watch a couple of Preview events (it was a brand new train and the WiFi was mustard ). Looking forward to dissecting the Ultima card armed with the headgear and previous festival form stats.
I think I've found the winner ................... although I just checked and the trainer has a horrible record in the race (2 places from 26 runners in the last 20 years). I'll change my mind another 6 times before the race
been a bit disillusioned with the current NH season so coming back here for some inspiration. have only got one ante post bet this year - Bravemansgame in the Gold Cup. just seems the most open festival for a while, but also wouldnt be surprised to see quite a few favourites go in this week.
