What's new pussycats? A 1-5 defeat at home to Stoke. I always tend to be pessimistic and this capitulation to Stoke worries me because I think it will fire Sunderland up for this game. Teams who lose game after game 1-2 after taking the lead and then conceding late tend to be flaky, but decent teams who suffer a bad loss generally aren't, and they come out fighting next time round. My memory of the game in Sunderland is that they generally outplayed us but it was one of the few games when our defence was really sound and didn't make one of their 21 howlers so far this season to gift them a good chance of a goal (if my memory is wrong, correct me please). And I think avoiding silly mistakes at the back is probably key to this game. Obviously there's a history of important games between these two clubs and I prefer to remember the rather unmemorable one (in footballing terms) in the League Cup and forget the 0-3 home defeat against Allardyce that basically did for us in one of our many relegations seasons from the PL. With Blackburn's defeat last night, a win here would take us above them and really cement our position in the top six. But I don't think it's going to be easy. COYY!
Quality post once again Buddy Live on Sky, so should be plenty of good streams around. https://yeahscore.com/match/norwich-city-vs-sunderland-18544771?t=head-to-head When this one works, it's very good, but it's not been reliable enough lately. Worth a try anyway.
Thank you, Duncan and Golden Eadie. Sorry, I am so incredibly stupid when it comes to this online stuff. Almost every week I make a dumb mistake.
I only have to do four things. Remember to make it a Match Day Thread, remember to include a poll, compile the content, and then upload it. How can I manage to make it so difficult?
I usually spend the week drafting mine on a separate computer then take a day making the final cut before proof reading & finally uploading.
Interesting to see what we need to do to stay in the play-offs this round. As things stand, only a win will do it, but a win will also get us up to fourth. It’s really tight.
Watford and Middlesbrough both losing Sheffield United 0-0 , been a while since I cared what other teams do .
Not great results for us today. We need to win tomorrow. If we do, Blackburn are the big losers this weekend.
