Good documentary on the other night where Bethany Hughes braved the horrors of Albania to show its history despite how dangerous it is. Beautiful country now it is recovering from the ravages of the communist years.
Free speech on personal opinions not work related should be universal. If they say something people disagree with then call them out by all means, but it shouldn't just be applied to those you like. I actually quite like knowing which celebs I find personally abhorrent.
You laughed at his Meghan Markle remarks then and defended him against the criticism directed at him?

I just judge people by what they do. Vanessa Redgrave is a fruitloop but she is a wonderful actress for example. Lefties tend to dismiss people with different views which is why most celebs are happy to espouse leftie views and the others keep schtum.
I'm completely ambivalent to Megan, but felt at the time it was a poorly written parody piece - probably got distracted by his pigs or something. You'd have thought his editor might have queried it before submitting it to press though.
Daft comparison. I said Albania has some beautiful countryside as an aside to it appearing quite safe with friendly people. Equating life in North Korea with it is ridiculous,
He's free to say whatever he wants. Why is he suddenly immune to criticism? Him saying Meghan Markle should have **** thrown at her is his opinion, a crappy one, but his nevertheless. Gary Lineker did the exact same, he used his platform to state his opinion and yet there seems to be quite a bit more furore around this. How come the BBC didn't discipline Sir David Attenborough when he criticised the government?
I think you see that trend amongst either political group as they gorge themselves on power for a while. They just get to a point they feel they have won the moral leadership argument. It usually comes just before the country votes them out.
As you can see in the picture, North Korea does have some beautiful countryside. North Korea I am sure is full of friendly people. Look, here's a picture of them all smiling and having a bit of a dance. please log in to view this image
You might have thought the same about Jo Brand’s remarks about throwing battery acid at someone. But she went ahead.
Oh really? So those people aren't happy then? Or is it that when a media crew turn up, the government ensure all the nasty bits are brushed under the carpet?
Are you as naive as that makes you appear? You would have been like Jane Fonda and others in the 1960s wittering about how happy the Chinese looked whilst tens of millions were dying of starvation and others were being systematically abused in labour camps. If North Korea is so wonderful why don’t they allow people to leave? Instead they shoot anyone trying to and punish their whole family. I bet you think the Berlin Wall was an Anti Fascist Protection Barrier.
There wasn’t the fuss made about it that there was about Clarkson’s remark. Did he hurt your feelings?
