Thinking about it, I do rewatch any old ****e, I'm currently on season four of the x files. Turns out the reason I think ive seen it before is because well I have 20 bloody years ago.
I'm rewatching criminal minds still at the moment. got to season 6 when they decided to have computer tech solve all crimes. that was also a different take on crime and a good show initially.
Never seen a single episode of Breaking Bad. The West Wing is exceptional. I rewatch the whole thing through pretty much every year (including right now). My other favourite show is Band of Brothers, just perfect television.
It's been a long time since I watched it, but an excellent show. Each episode is good, but the whole arc of one of the duo going from wholesome to downright evil and the other going from street scum to decent so slowly you don't even realise the switch is happening. They created some really interesting and bizarre characters but (with the exception of some twins that seemed poorly written in) they all felt real and believable.
I haven't seen the last season yet. Probably have to wait a year until it's viewable here. I only got to watch the penultimate season 6 months ago... It was easily as good as the best episodes or better than BB. However, I rate BB as a better show overall. BCS took a long time to get good. The first few seasons were no where near BB quality. So yes, it eventually got up to the same level of quality, I have to rank BB higher because every season was good.
I asked ChatGPT to tell me which show is better and it gave me a cop-out answer. So I next asked "which. Breaking bad character would be the best transfer for Liverpool Football Club":
Nearly at end of series 1 of Pennyworth think it's been very good.If you've watched Gotham you'll 'get' the quirkyness of it. If you think the main character remains you of somebody it's because he talks in the same manner as Thursday in Endeavour and that's because he played Fred Thursday's son. 8.5/10
Most detective shows are whodunnits. A tired and formulaic humdrum most of the time. Except Columbo. An excellent concept. Yet everyone follows the whodunnit script, nobody follows Columbo. Why? Is it bcos ppl will quickly identify "hey you ripped off Columbo" Maybe they might...but I bet most will want to see it. Aye it'll be almost impossible to get anyone near the legendary status of Peter Falk to do it, but there's somrthing about the shows where you want the murderer to get away with it whilst also wanting Columbo to 'check mate' his prime suspect in the most slam dunk way possible. In short...basically I'm missing Columbo.
Colombo was a battle of wits. that's the premise and its excellent. the problem.is as I mentioned something like criminal minds. they started showing the criminals face before the infro half the time but just resorted to saluting it using computers. csi followed this as well. csi miami especially. but again solve it in pseudo science or using tech Colombo is a battle of wits. even poirot was the whodunnit. limited cast of suspects and he's looking right at the person and such. the whodunit it trope its easier write for I think
Watched new film 'Missing' last night good film.Especially like the way it was shot,a lot of the film is done through characters chatting and investigating via people's tracks on the net through WhatsApp,facetime etc. 7/10
Pokerface. Essentially Columbo with a woman... And she's not a cop, she's a civilian... And she's on the run from a gambling boss that wants to kill her. ... Other than that it's Columbo. Starring the girl from Russian Doll.
has anyone had a good laugh at the state of the equalizer tv series. I liked the first movie with denzel as the former cia due who goes and kicks 7 shades out of people, seoncd one is was nearly too old to sell it. The tv series is an absolute mess. Queen latifa as a ex cia hard ass going round kikcing 7 shades out of bad guys???? she's an obese woman, and with no disrespect to her, there's no way she or a man as fat as her wouldn't drop dead fighting one person never mind multiple bad guys a show. shocker.
Tbf Edward Woodward wasn't exactly a spring chicken in the original series, albeit it wasn't exactly high-octane (I was a massive fan of the show and wouldn't mind seeing something similar again). Yeah, i've totally avoided the new show as I just don't get the concept with Queen Latifa in it.
