Except we hadn’t agreed terms at all. The players didn’t want to come due to interest elsewhere and Saints being nobodies. We were hoping/waiting for that interest to either come to fruition or drop away (like when Utd went for Antony instead of Gakpo). Even then Gakpo turned us down, Ramos just straight up turned us down. We had lofty targets but we might as well have just gone for Mbappe as we would’ve had the same chance of signing him as those 2
Seems like it wasn't actually Poch, Tuchel or any of the other managers that might just have been the issue at PSG....
Good to see two teams (Benfica and AC Milan) that were great in years past, when I was just a mere toddler, make the CL quarter finals Should Inter- Milan and Real Madrid make it through, it really would be a revival of the early and mid-60s.
Apparently boos from the Spurs fans at the final whistle (I didn't watch it). Pretty deluded to think they should be getting past AC and to the 1/4s of the Champions League given they are mostly a pretty average side with a few star players.
Because they were hyping themselves up so much last summer about having the best window of any of the big 6 clubs.
They booed when Conte took Kulusevski off for Sanchez after Romero was sent off. That was understandable - they're chasing a goal FFS and his first concern is covering the space Romero has left.
Let's be honest now, not one fan thinks we are going to win, We have zero pressure on us for this game. Let's just enjoy the game on Sunday, I'm sure it'll be decent.
Lavia vs Fernandes will be even more fun I think! He'll have a job on him (both of them will). I think RL can get under his skin a bit though. A couple of levellers early on will do it.
