I won't be like because isak doesn't offer anything off the ball and can't offer anything when his backs to goal. Playing both would be better
In a 4-3-3? Who would we drop from the front 3 then? Gordon's started well and should stay in, and Miggy has earnt his place.
Neves likely to be dropped by Wolves cos he's one off a suspension and they wanna save him for the games Vs relegation rivals. This bodes well.
I do agree as Isak has made of breaks from the wing, with speed and skills to create chances. It creates another problem with Gordon or Miggy though.
I'd like to see gordon max isak behind Wilson with Joelinton and Bruno in cm but because Joelinton is suspended I'd just go 4 3 3 and bring willock in
Isak is a striker, in a 4-3-3, but plays with more mobility and isn't afraid to get the ball, turn and run. Wilson is a 'tip of the spear' striker, which isn't working when we're too deep. We need Isak in and need to play to his strengths, because it's the natural evolution of this formation. Isak will be excellent, give it a little more time.
Exactly he's an attacking player of some description but not a centre fwd. Newcastle can't just play 3 players made of thin air upfront... the ball will just keep coming back because they'll get bullied
It's also not actually necessary to change anything because 4 3 3 is how newcastle play and it's working. They're in a great position because of it . Its hardly the time for too much experimental ****e. I'd like to see 4 2 3 1 but if we get beat I don't.
Isak might not want to be here for all we know .... howe sees this guy every day maybe he's getting rinsed by lascelles and Manquillo every day. If he was really worth 60 million surely he'd stand out and be starting games
He needs to put another stoke of weight on and be built like Joelinton. He’s got the technical ability.
I agree with Roy on this last sentence. Albeit I think he’s been unlucky with injury. Wilson needs dropped for playing so poor and Isak given the chance. I still maintain we needed a creative midfielder in the Jan window to create better scoring opportunities. We have so many shots this year that have not been clear cut and quite frankly ****.
How long did it take for Bruno to start matches ahead of the likes of Hayden and Shelvey? Was March 10th, a month and a half after signing. You know full well Isak has to get up to speed and deal with the league, whilst learning to play with his team mates on top of Wilson having been really good up to Xmas. I just think it's bizarre to judge the lad at his age, with the whole club going off form. From what we've seen, it's very positive. In his 8 matches, he's played against Liverpool twice and Man City.
Bruno signed in January and was playing a month or two after. It's actually almost the ehd of the season and isak has not been able to get in the team . Newcastle paid 60 million pounds for a player with 3 goals that isn't even impressing enough in training to earn a start. I hope he comes good but so far it's 60 million wasted.
Could've bought Toney for example... a far superior striker . Could've had him anyway of course but the great rafa didn't spot his abilities.
