A lot of Bellingham's price is potential still. He's very developed and mature for his age. But he's still inconsistent and has plenty of quiet games. He wasn't amazing against Chelsea, for example. There'll plenty of things to moan about with him still, don't you worry. On a similar note, I can't see him by himself completely transforming our midfield...yet. But he's hopefully got another ten years at the top.
dortmund are happy to keep floating stories with that fee. they want to drive the narrative and set the high bar rather than someone getting Bellingham to have a moan and some other club set a low bar to start taking from. 150million euro dollars or 130mil sterling and come down a little is just sense (from their perspective)
If Mount does run his contract down and wants to come, that would be the sensible option and then one other. I'm not sure it'll be Bellingham either.
it really depends on mount and Chelsea. if Chelsea are willing to not be spurs level silly and mount wants to come then a fee like ox (he has 12months left as I recall at the time?) could be done. if Chelsea want to play the west ham game and ask 100mil for a player with 12mo ths left fair enough. let them suffer ffp implosion
We won't pay big for someone in the last year it'll be down to him to say he's not signing and once that's done they'd be stupid not to accept a bid. All speculation but I'd love to get him.
the ox one was right after/ before the coutinho one which might have factored into it? that was 40mil.. I think we paid 20 for thiago to bayern with 12months left? Is 40 too much?
Haaland went to city for £51 million in the end didn't he after much talk of a much, much higher figure?
I mean Alison and VVD were both sky high signings and LFC hasn't spent money in a long time. They might be willing to spend the money on Jude because the return would be spread out over a number of years... And if it doesn't, his value will likely go up higher as he enters peak years.
alisson didn't have 12months left on a contract and neither did VVD. We negotiated for one and we apologised on the other Bellingham is down to three things. cash flow, FFP and amortisation and of course negotiations with drotmund. If the fee is 100million pound for ease of calculation, ffp now only allows us to amortise over 5 years thanks to cheslea absolutely cheating the rules. If the fee is 100mil and out budget for transfers has been approximately 50mil per full season then theres a gap to fill. 25mil for kelleher and ???? who else? If I were LFC budgetting it might look like this Bellingham 100 Mount 40 **** keeper 5mil or free if i can. I need to generate money to make that happen. 50mil budget Kelleher 25 Phillips down to 5mil now. thaigo - nominal fee to send him home to barca??? carvalho 15mil?? Jones ??? I'd say we are still well short of making this work. Im then keeping matip cos i can't afford to buy a cb
https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...summer-target-list?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other According to the Guardian, Mount could be available for about £50m in the summer. He's currently on £75k p.w. and has rejected a contract of £180k p.w. Reece James was recently given one for £250k per week. So £50m and £250k p.w. for Mount?
