I'd be surprised if he doesn't start the next game tbh. With Wilson's howler at City, which would have got us level, and Isak looking like a big improvement when came on, there's no reason for Isak to be on the bench now.
This secondary hasn't had a chance yet debate... I think he's done well in a couple of his appearances but doesn't look like a 60 million pound player so far .
Wilson is playing badly so surely isak will get a start but I get the impression Wilson will start regardless of form. Howe is saying you're my center fwd not isak
Howe is definitely mindful of form though, and isn't always going to stick to his first choices - ie he had no problem with dropping Ciaran Clark from the team when he blew the last of his chances.
Valuations are all in the air tbh - apparently Haaland is a £50m player at Man City, and Lukaku is a £100m player at Chelsea. I think the point is that is looks like he could develop into a player who we regard as worth the money.
Haaland was sold on his buy out clause so that was his possible future value when he signed for Dortmund.
But all kinds of things can affect transfer fees - ie remaining contract length, disciplinary levels, release clauses etc It's hard to say that a certain price paid represents the value of a player.
There's stuff from Germany says the release clause was inserted latterly to allow City to make it look clean.....but, yeah, the number I've seen is around £185m or I would then guess 200m EUR. I know a lifelong season ticket holder who's a corporate box owner, he knows something funny went down. They (City) might even get away with that one, though.
Are you suggesting because there's other clubs being ripped off that somehow means isak has scored 20 goals?
Indeed, but current form must count too, and after that sitter against City, he's got to work his way back up. Would be shocked if Isak doesn't start next game.
